So how many better sides than Motherwell ( last 9 home games P 9 W 7 D 1 L1. Only 1 home defeat in 2019 and 8 hours since they had conceded a goal) are we going to play making so many changes ?

Agree with all of that. Sloppy and ropey at times but then this is how most teams play against us, thundering into everything for the first 30 mins, then they tire and we can dominate the play.

A DM in the mould of Wanyama (if not the man himself) would help us tremendously. We need to pick and choose Broony's games carefully to get the best out of him. Can't expect him to do 60+ games to a high level at 34

We had a similar problem at cluij this week i felt, first 20mins were poor as well. Whats important that we bounced back, twice. Which shows our real quality. Both teams this week threw everything at us in the beginning. But i do agree we need to handle that better. Cause against some opponents it can be over.

Still more positives then negatives. We are killers in front of goal!

This slow build up unattractive football is dreadful.

It’s going to be another grind this season......

Where does that put us in the 30min league table?

Aye we genuinely did well to withstand that after 1 day of training back from Romania and a good few out or rested. They'll take a lot of points off side's at home I think as they are half decent..

Was having this discussion with @Random Review the other day mate so it isn't knee-*. Been worried about Broony being overplayed and today hammered it home even more that his legs are going. Was bypassed loads in that first half..

A strong pacey midfielder is definitely required..

Changes or not... Motherwell are not a bad side but any selection we put out shouldn't look like the inferior team for the best part of a first half.

Imagine we start against a euro side or the zombies like that..it was not good enough simple as that.

Thing is though, he's played 90 minutes of every game. What's that, 7 games in 2 and a half weeks? What the actual * are we thinking?

I'm really surprised that we have played him like this, genuinely can't understand it. Seeing younger players getting a bit of a rest (like Eddy and Forrest today not playing the full 90) ahead of him baffles me. I think until Wednesday, he was looking OK. I think we just need to use him smarter, much smarter.

Genuinely the only thing this summer that I just can't wrap my head around.

Question is, can we play him on Wednesday? We kind of need his leadership; but if he's still leggy, they will run right through him.

Anyone else starting to get really excited about this team? Especially when you consider we still have the likes of Mickey Johnston, Shved and Rogic to call on and more signings to come. Absolute joy to watch in the first 2 league games this season.

Don't know why folk are going on at they posts. The first 20-30 mins were concerning. He's also right that if we start that bad in Europe or against the huns it could be a disaster.

We need to address the lb position as it's so obvious teams will target Bolingoli. Also need someone to rotate with Brown as games at that tempo, like the start of today, seem to pass him by.

    It's ludicrous..

Played in Estonia when we were 5 up the week before. Why?

Doesn't come off today when 3/4/5 up. Yet we all know he'll start midweek and last the 90..

I done my side and he wasn't in it. Would rather McGregor sitting and Christie and Ntcham ahead..

I'd much rather have Broony in my team against Cluj; but as I said in the match thread around the hour mark: if we intend to play him midweek, he really had to come off at that point. For whatever reason, we chose to take off Forrest. Given that, I personally wouldn't play him midweek now and would play the exact 3 you just mentioned.

Well we won the European Cup but we struggled for the first seven minutes. Jim Craig shambolic defending. Can’t comment on the rest of the game as I’ve nothing to moan about. Don’t like it when that happens.

It wasn’t the greatest start, but Motherwell weren’t able to maintain it, or capitalise on our slow start.

The new guys looked better second half, but need to get up to speed of 40-60 games a season quickly

Ntcham got better as it opened up, and his role in Eddy’s goal was brilliant. But for me, he needs to be more consistent and sharpen up, to get the plaudits-starting position he feels he currently deserves.
