At first glance I thought we were trying to sign the British ambassador. He's on a free after all

Aren't you listening? Because a 'Celtic source' says so... duh! :31:

Jesus! Close seasons get harder to bear every year... must be getting old! :help:

Would be a great signing imo, guy is a handful.

I cant see it happening tbh, they paid over £10m for him, will be looking to recoup as much as they can for him and id imagine he will be on big wages for that league.

I can remember he was highly rated when younger but got a bad injury, a broken leg or cruciate ligaments im sure.

Aye we're going to pay a record fee for a backup striker, or a £20+ million strike force, oh wait we only play with one striker.

This ain't happening and tbh our striker position just needs a filler player who can knock them in up here at best.

    Ps. Can he play RB?

Although i dont think there is anything in the story , i think lennon will play edouard the same way he used stokes , so may be space for someone to take the hooper role. Edouard is better playing behind a striker and running towards goal. He has said he wants another striker and with bayos injuries and who knows with griffiths a striker will be high on his list of priorities as well as rb.

Lennon used to play with two up top Hooper/Stokes and or Samaras.

He could even play in the centre of a three with edouard on the left forward where i think he would be best suited.

    Its not hard to accommodate.

I was doing a football fitness thing with the Celtic foundation for guys in there 40s and a tad fat, well it was on a Friday night and I had just arrived in the stadium when it was announced about Brendan Rodgers coming.

We were taken aside by a suited guy and briefed about when we left after training we had to say no comment because if I said anything at all the press would have cited me as a "Celtic Source"!

It's * mental what passes for MSM 'journalism' these days... I mean, I've no issue at all with folk coming on here and saying that they spoke with someone, that they know someone or that they went to school and are mates with folk and heard them mention stuff... that's just chat like everyone does, and folk being sociable and sharing.

But... There's a bit of me can't help but think that somewhere an angel gets its wings ripped off everytime a rag quotes a 'Celtic source'... yeah, ok Billy, thanks for your input... :bash:
