    Is that Askren even any good?

    Watched him before against someone and he got literally smashed to pieces before winning late on with a ropey tap out..

    Seen that finish. Jesus Christ how do you ever wake up from that. I find it staggering more people don't die in the octagon.....no necessarily from the knock out blow but the repeated strikes when out cold..

    Guy said when he next sees him he's gonna bash him up again :56:

    Then he comes to the UFC and Dana White gives him two animals in Lawler and Masvidal :giggle1:

    He’s a great wrestler but it’s always hard to judge someone when they’re not fighting in the UFC, for me.

    While anything can happen in MMA I was surprised at just how slow and predictable he’s looked. No matter how great your wrestling is you need more than just putting your head down anytime someone rushes you and hoping to get a hold of them.

    Masvidal started the fight leaning against the cage with his hands behind his back and smiling at him fucksake :giggle1: he knew what he was going to do.

    No one will have been happier last night than Dana. Guy hates Askren.

    99 times out of 100 that opening move comes to very little - simply because most fighters have the sense not to bend down with their arms outstretched (I assume he was lining up a takedown) when you have an opponent closing the distance on you at that speed.

    He’s bang on when it comes to the guy questioning his celebration.

    It’s gotten to the stage where people can say what they like before a fight as long as it’s labelled ‘hype’. The reality is, for loads of people within sports like this, it’s far more than just professional sports. If you’re gonna insult a guy on a very personal level, you have to accept that he might not simply be willing to forgive and forget after a fight, regardless of the outcome.

    Just saw the Rockhold KO. I actually like Askren so I kinda felt bad for him... but Rockhold is a * head. Satisfying.
