    100% mate..

It needs to be sorted the next few day's either way..

I'd be tempted to get Perraud in now if KT isn't away over the next few day's and be proactive rather than reactive to the situation..

Another reason for that is if we punt KT for 25 mill....club's will rip the * with prices knowing we're flush..

No good can come with out and ins coming late in the window. Completely agree..

Agree, we need a new LB in even if Tierney isn't for the off.

Lennon has came out and said he is weeks behind where we expected him to be so going into our biggest games of the season with Hayes at LB would be incompetence.

I think we'll possibly look to move for a back-up/squad LB like Greg Taylor until Tierney's situation is clearer.

Lawwell won't sanction a £4-5 million fee and £20k+ per week on the likes of Perraud or Mbombo until Tierney moving becomes a formality. The noises coming from French media about Perraud suggest we've been sounding him out over the last week, which to me suggests a Tierney move could be imminent.

    Without doubt..

Aye it can't be Hayes for me. I'd be comfortable enough with Taylor coming in and playing until we get a first team Perraud like in..

    He looks excellent Perraud..

It's why I think the board and possibly even Lenny, are quite relaxed about him going due to his injuries..

    Thread is so depressing.

At a time when major defensive reinforcements are vitally needed we look like we're about to lose the best full back we've had in arguably a generation.

A lot of chat about replacements and reinvestment of his fee but thats alot of wishful thinking imo.

Would we be willing to fork out millions... probably.

Are we willing to break the wage structure to bring in a player who can actually "replace" KT. No.

We're more likely spend 4m on 2 league one left backs and 5m on a kt museum than acquire the services of a european level left back. By rights all our efforts should be going into a viable replacement for Mika, and proper cover fir saod replacement. Really cant see us signing 4 full backs this window... especially not with the two yanks waiting in the wings.

Hayes and ralston will serve a competition for whatever signings we make, if we make them.

It is a sad fact that our league is looked down on by almost all of the "big" leagues. Larsson was indeed world class in a Celtic Jersey but it took us getting to a European final for that to be recognised. We are not likely to repeat that feat at this juncture.

I dont want players to leave. I'd have him stay forever, but if he has ambition he will want to try a more challenging league. At some point he will. To think that players will come to Scotland if they are world class is delusional.

If we want to be seen as a place world class players want to come to or stay at, we need to ditch the Scottish league for something else.

    Agreed.

The yanks can’t play until 2020 competitively for us unless we are trying to argue a case in the back ground but considering Gutman wore 14 during the tour and that is Arzani squad number I am doubting it.

We all know in 2010 McGeady and Boruc where sacrificed to help Lennon build a team. I fear the same is being done with KT.

The reluctance to spend money is baffling. People will say aye we spent £7.3m there on two players at the weekend is factually correct but we brought in £20m in transfer fees and £10m in compensation in the same financial year and spent less than half of that combined amounts.

Now we are told time and time again we never budget for the CL groups but when we do it goes into the bank never to surface again unless it’s on the financial reports.

Today starts our new financial year with over 20% of the costs at the same point in time last year gone in terms of wages! So there is the wiggle room for the salaries we have over £200k a week to play with.

If we where looking to sacrifice anyone to “build” the new squad it should be guys like Ntcham and Sinclair who are high earners, have value but look like they cant be arsed not a guy like KT or Calmac who embody everything about the club. Unless of course KT is pushing for a move!

Or why don’t we bring in say £15m for Ntcham and Sinclair and then use some of the £15m left over from last year and put that into the squad or is that too simple for the Celtic board to do!

Don’t even need to spend £30m but if you topped up the £15m incoming by say another £10m you still have added to the cash in the bank and enhanced the team greatly (although Sinclair stats are good) he can leave for free next summer!

Larsson was World Class a good bit before we made it to Seville mate.

He was the European Golden Boot winner in 2000/01.

The problem is, Sinclair and Ntcham together don't get anywhere close to what we'd get for KT..

    Arguably no even half..

    Definitely..

Imagine having a European golden boot winner in Scotland in today's game.

Should be evidence enough just how stagnant the nation has whilst others, for good or bad have move forward albeit with the help of unseemly amounts of new money.

Of course he doesn’t have to, but he should. He’s done it all here and he’s only 22. Only thing left is 10 in a row. Past that, what is there to achieve.

Not really. Someone could score a tonne in this league and win it.

A Ballon d’Or nominee, that’s something we won’t see in this league again and relates to your point.

He’s still not done as much as Forrest and Calmac in the Champions League. In fact, in the Camp Nou, he froze.

It should be a goal of his to perform there for Celtic and I don’t doubt for a second it is.

No one will say it but the board and more importantly KT, may feel it's the right time..

Personally I would've said at least another season as he's been curtailed by painful injuries. That's probably why all parties possibly feel it's now though..

Be seriously difficult to be considered for ballon dor in Scotland no matter how good you were.

Though, it is worth mentioning theres a defender who is joint favourite with a certain Lionel Messi for this years ballon dor, who played in Scotland only 5 years ago

You don’t stay at a team to perform in one game of the season.
