Motherwell will be * bricks at the minute trying to get this deal done now. He’s even hanging like a bad smell at Fir Pk as well.

This is who it falls back on, they wont be getting £3.5M now from anyone, a few more clauses will be put it as the initial agreement is based on the player passing his medical with no issues.

Lenny saying he might need short term pain for long term benefits.

From that I am taking Celtic will pull out the deal at this time, allow him to stay at Motherwell and maybe go back in january

Motherwell have already spent the money. They are building a new bingo down the local town centre and have a mcdonalds in the stadium and discolights

I read that as surgery which will put him out of action for a couple of months, but in the long run is necessary.

For those who are in love.....
Might be worth buying him and loaning him to Motherwell till January..

If he's out for a couple of month's then he likely won't get in straight away for us after that. At least at Motherwell he'll get regular game time and then we get him in January fit and firing..

NEIL LENNON has confirmed he still wants to sign Motherwell’s David Turnbull – despite a medical issue.

The Motherwell starlet’s £3.25million switch to Parkhead is currently hanging in the balance.

It’s understood the 19-year-old needs a minor knee operation that would put him out for a period.

Celtic are now looking to renegotiate the initial £3.25m deal but Well are standing firm after talks.

Turnbull could yet stay at Fir Park – with discussions expected to continue over the next 24 hours.

Lennon said: “There has been a glitch with the medical as you know.

David might need have to go through some short-term pain for long-term progress.

“We still want him here – me and the club as a whole.

It’s still ongoing, there’s still discussions going on between the clubs.

“But we’re still positive that we want him here.

It’s between the two clubs to try to get some deal sorted out.

“The situation is through no fault of David’s. It was just something that was unforeseen

We are still backing the lad and we want him to be part of the club, regardless of the injury.

Discussions are ongoing with Motherwell and hopefully we can get a positive resolution.”

After the carryon last season with Rogic and Tierney basically starting the season * and then slowly deteriorating to the point they were near useless it's best to get Turnbull sorted right away and come back fit than just use him anyway and delay the operation till later.
