I really think we have gone backwards since Lennon has taken over. This season has been really poor and even though Lenny's records has been decent, he struggled twice against the huns now and as many has said, he limped his way to the league title. Since he took the job our football has gone from bad to worse. Even though results under Rodgers was poor at least the football was not as dire to watch. Lenny's team is set out in the same way as Rodgers tactically but a lot direct which means more long balls and crosses into the box which is fine but what's the point when we play with one striker who is not even a poacher or target man.

Look! If the board go with Lenny and back him with serious cash then that's fine. Lennon should be given the chance to rebuild a team to play his "direct" approach.
But if he is the cheap option and give Lenny the job but without any serious financial backing, then I really fear for the worse next season.

If lennon is kept on you can rest assured he will * alot of these players out and get in a fair few battlers to play his style. In that way he will be more successful with his squad playing his style than trying to get a Rodgers squad playing his style. Whether thats a direction fans want to see us going is another matter. Lennon will bring us success I have no doubts but it isn't exactly progressive. Lennon has a win at all costs philosophy, if the players do that they are allowed alot of leeway, with regard to days off, eating habits etc whereas Rodgers was all about installing an ethos and philosophy from top to bottom. The latter style means it should be easier for one manager to slip in and take over the reigns after one departs as the infrastructure, staffing and background work is all in place & pulling in the same direction whereas Lennons style is about the here and now and lacks that long term vision.
