Been looking at @StPauli1916 goals bets. As he knows his stuff. Been thinking about his picks (yes I think to much lol).
For an overs bet to land a team has to score at least 2 goals. So been looking at team to score 2+ goals and prices. Prices are obviously better and you only need a team to score 2+, which you need for the overs anyway.
Now picking which team is where it gets tricky. But I think the risks are not much different but the price is far better.
Looking at the Dortmund game he picked and the stats all point to overs, but Dortmund have scored 2 or more in all but one of their last seven games. The one they didn't was against bayern. Only thing that puts me off is bremen don't concede many. They got thumped in their last two games, but don't tend to concede many, lots of games we're they've only conceded 1 goal.
Going to back them at 4/6 to score 2+ in that game.
Told yas I over think every feckin thing, but enjoy doing it :84:

Good luck Smokie. Hopefully they get a couple of early goals as that does my bet no harm at all.
The over-thinking point is an interesting one. I am a bit like you in terms of been quite old school and using a pen and paper for a lot of my betting. As I have said before on here I pick my weeks bets on a Tuesday when I buy the RFO and look at the stats for all the weeks games (tue-wed). I use their stats so they only cover the top 5 English leagues, Top 4 Scottish ones, La Liga, Serie A The Bundesliga, Ligue 1, The Portuguese Superliga and the Dutch top flight ( though they do the Scandanavian leagues over the summer and have overs stats for the MLS). I quickly look through every game to see if there is an overs bet or a straight winner I really fancy and note that down to come up with a shortlist for the week. From that shortlist though I then allow instinct and things outside of the straight figures play a part. For instance last night I had three games on my shortlist.

    Juve at 8-11
Overs in the German game at 8-13
    Seville at 2-5.

My figures said Juve was the best bet but I was loath to back a team that had already won the league. Seville looked the surest thing but I plumped for the German game. Juve drew and Seville got pumped !

@StPauli1916 get most of my stats mostly on the day of a bet and all online. Get more enjoyment out trying to work out how to beat a bookie than I do winning, as strange as that sounds.
New markets are good but nearly every bookie has covered it all now and clicked on to them.
A good few years ago when the card market was just starting I made a killing, mind it was at short odds so big stakes. Team cards o0.5 or 1.5. You could have got a team for over 0.5 card at around 1/2 (always seemed to be arsenal lol) very rarely for it not to land. But bookies clicked on and the * fell out of it, card marks went up and prices went down. So looked into other markets and started doing the inplay corners and done better. Must have, do be restricted. That was the end of that.
Got bored excluded myself from all bookies and stopped betting for maybe a year. Was also at college and had to study like * for that. So bit restricted as to what I can bet on now. But been looking at the goal markets a lot as I can do it in the shop.
But as I say, I love trying to work it out more, even that 2+ team goals one I mentioned earlier, I didn't back it as I couldn't be arsed going to the bookies, which is a 2min walk from my door.
Done them 1+ and 2+ mgls great fun ticking them off but very unlucky to find 1 of the few 0-0 so might go back to singles with bigger stakes and target team goals.
IMG_20190504_213857-684x912.jpg fs all them games and I find a nil nil, suppose that's the risk of accas.
