Griff will definitely be glad to see the back of Rodgers, it was obvious Rodgers didnt like him from day one.

Rodgers never liked Griff from the get-go. It was really obvious. It’ll be good to see him back and scoring when he’s ready.

I don't think we will see him this season. I bet his fitness is well off so Bayo, Weah, Eddy and Burke all above him.

A brilliant goal scorer. I think he's the sort of guy who needs to feel appreciated and he was clearly being made to feel second or third fiddle under Rodgers.

Hopefully Lenny will get him back firing at his best.

    Get well soon, wee man.

Set the scene of him making his comeback at Ibrokes and scoring the winner against them after all the abuse they’ve given him, there wouldn’t be sweeter karma than that.

We really have missed him. To think we had no fit strikers and yet we still managed a great winning streak.

KRIS COMMONS says Leigh Griffiths is set to boost Celtic's Treble bid by returning for end of season run-in.

The striker has been on special leave since December to deal with some off-field problem

Griffiths has a close bond with interim boss Neil Lennon - who brought him to Parkhead from Wolves five years ago.

And Commons claims Lennon has spoken to Griff more times in the past week than Brendan Rodgers did over the last 12 weeks.

He wrote in his Daily Mail column: "Don't be surprised if Leigh Griffiths fights his way back and plays a key part in Celtic's run-in towards the end of the season.

"It's my understanding that Griffiths is close to making his return following some off-field personal difficulties.

He feels like he's in a much better place mentally and is looking forward to getting back on the pitch and contributing.

"Neil Lennon certainly won't rush him back - and nor should he.

"You can't rush these things when someone has been having off-field problems. Lennon, let's not forget, was the man who signed Griffiths for Celtic in 2014.

He'll put an arm round him and give him all the time he needs.

"From what I'm hearing, Lennon has spoken more to Griffiths over the past week than Brendan Rodgers did during the past two months.

"Having an experienced goalscorer like Griffiths available can only boost their chances of landing another Treble when the dust settles on a remarkable season."

That’s great to hear but I’d much prefer if Lenny made comment on this rather than Commons trying to copy his pal ‘Boydy’ with exclusives
