Been said a few times today but the irony of him calling out a young kid after Motherwell 2 days ago on his lack of "integrity" whilst he himself was in the process of * on his own fans by leaving Celtic in the lurch is as rich as it gets....shocking hypocricy and it won't be forgotten

 

Bit harsh on eddy after Saturday and at pittodrie, they’ve both hardly played tbf with injury

 

I would agree that he had a mid/long term plan when he first arrived. Lately though? Nope, quite the opposite in fact. That’s why for some here, him leaving comes as no surprise whatsoever.

He leaves us with a monumental rebuilding job to do this summer. He took no part in contract negotiations with our captain and signed players he hadn’t even seen. It doesn’t scream long term to me.

All the talk about footballing philosophy etc is simply that - talk.

To me it's not about him leaving it's the timing of his departure, few months away from genuine legendary status with a treble treble with the "love of his life" for a pissant club with traitorous players who got their last two Managers sacked including one who won them the league. So disappointed in him as a man, his family must be ragin wi him. He will not imo. be welcomed back by the vast majority of the supporters. Well I think much like myself, he gave up on any long term vision when he realised it would be impossible for us to progress as a club whilst Lawell controlled the purse strings.

If you go in to new job with promises of this and that and you achieve similar to what Rodgers achieved in his first two season here, then your boss says by the way you're getting * all but short term loans to progress but we still demand you achieve what you have done previously, you'd probably lose a bit of motivation and commitment as well.

I'd certainly be looking for a new employer anyway.

 

Guy brought the best out of players who were already there and had potential like Forrest, mcgregor, rogic Brown, Christie etc and his domestic trophies been excellent

But hes made 23 signings most of which have been dross and his tactics in champions league games were embarrassing

Been bigger legends than him have left and in my opinion certainly not irreplaceable

from the moment he arrived i heard he wasnt being honest about his "love" for Celtic. heard his family/brothers were - but he was purely a Sheffield Wednesday fan.

The man is a turncoat *. 2 months and he leaves with everyones blessing as the best manager in recent history. I think his ego is that big that he expected us to be happy and grateful we were blessed with him for this long. the man can go and * himself

 

Lennon essentially left us for a Bolton, a club on the brink of going bust.

 

Highly doubt hes welcome at celtic park ever again.

He's done great things for Celtic, but has now shat on us from a great height. No man is bigger than this club. Ruined his chance to be a real Celtic legend.

Sick of his excuses re Europe. a 60m wage bill in the Europa League should allow you to be very competitive. Add to that the bonus of having the hardest ground for visiting teams thanks to atmosphere and you should be able to get somewhere. A better manager could.

 

I agree - our best players have been Deila signings or home grown, with the exception of Dembele

 

Not mid way through a season with a decent aberdeen side and the huns back in the league.
