Thankfully, I doubt that’d be an issue.

Totally agree his work rate is superb and a big physical presence too. We have missed that up top since Dembele left. I really have liked what I have seen of Burke so far and would be delighted if we could find some way of signing him permanently in the summer.

Totally shat myself there, imagine hiking and that appearing. Wouldn't bother Oli of course, he's fast as lightning, if WBA want a
£15m player back he's best staying here for the 10

Think he has shown what a player he can be in glimpses so far. Great attitude and work rate too. Feel he is being wasted uptop though. I get it if we are short but his movement to me feels much more like an inside forward and winger and we won't get to see the full player until he is played there. Also ruins weah when he's stuck on the right.

He's done very well. I wish he'd smile a bit more, though.

Would like to see him on wing, unlike conventional wingers as he's big and powerful, does do a power of running and work, but I do believe we should now be thinking of moving him from the centre as its obvious we have better actual striking options and use him were I think he should make more of an impact.

If we kept Burke and weah for next season as well (along with keeping the rest of our midfield and attacking first teamers) then genuinely all we need to do is sort the defence in the summer.

Key will be to get those two tied down before this season finishes though.
Get a RB and a CB in first week of the window and I'll be happier going in to the qualifiers. Get to August and push out for the other CB that we need.
Guatentee European football and get the keeper sorted.

Since this is our 3rd game against them in quick succession maybe Rodgers will change it a bit and give him a shot down the wing and move Weah through the middle.

Brendan Rodgers admits Celtic have no chance of keeping Oliver Burke beyond the summer.

But he revealed he is far more hopeful of Timothy Weah sticking around.

Burke - with three goals in his first six games on loan to the Hoops - confessed last week he’d love to stay after finally finding contentment in Glasgow.

But Rodgers reckons he’ll be miles out of Celtic’s reach financially if he does his job and sends West Brom back the player they always thought they’d signed for £15m 18 months ago.

Burke has twice broken the transfer record for the most expensive Scot ever with his move to RB Leipzig and then back to England with the Baggies.

However asked if honouring the powerhouse forward’s desire to put down roots in Glasgow was pie in the sky, Rodgers sighed: “I think so. It would be great for Celtic but the reality is that the improvements he will make here over the course of the next six months will probably excite West Brom.

“And then if they get promoted then probably his wages change anyway. He helps us for now, we help them.

“You are getting in a big talent, but the likelihood is that type of player fits around the core of the boys that are here. It may well be too much but all you can do is improve and develop him and see what happens.”

Rodgers has already seen Burke make huge strides in his development in his first month in Scottish football.

He said: “I spoke to Malky Mackay about him - he’d spent time with him in Leipzig - and he got some great insight from that experience.

“It just felt like Oliver needs time. He needs training and help. There’s no doubt that in there is an absolutely brilliant player. The key for me was what does he do naturally. We all know he can run like the wind, he’s powerful, he’s got physique but what does he do naturally?

“That’s the bit we needed shining. There are things he can do better. In this short period of time, four weeks, I can see a lot of the changes in his game without taking away what he is good at, which is running and working and pressing. He’s good technically.

“I’ve been delighted with him. It’s a great challenge for us to help him develop and we get the benefit. That’s what this culture is about here.”

Burke has already started more games in a month for Celtic than he did in a season and a half with West Brom, and a year in the Bundesliga with Leipzig.

Rodgers said: “Like most young players, like the Ryan Christies, they need confidence and clarity in what their role is.

“Oli’s definitely one that, because he can run he runs, but too often to the corner flag. The goal is not out there, my friend, the goal is in the middle. If you ask them why they are running there, they might not know.

“If you look at his movements now, they are inward, running into goal. It’s small but it’s clarity and what he’s shown is that he’s a learner. A good boy, hungry to improve but just needs a clear way of working.”

First choice striker for me. His workrate and energy bring another dimension to our forward play, and that pace.

    Shame we can't afford him.

I know the GOAT scored a hat-trick today but I thought Burke was outstanding and probably MOTM.
