If it comes down to being on same points with Leipzig then we have to have a better aggregate score to go through and since they beat us 2-0 then we have to beat them tomorrow 3-0 or by 3 goals at least.
We wont catch Salzburg unless by some miracle we win all remaining matches with us beating Salzburg also by 3-0 and they lose to Rosenborg which i hope but seriously doubt will happen

Maybe, but we simply aren't going to beat them 3-0. All we can do is try to win the game (and we are surely underdogs even for that) and hope that someone else drops points somewhere along the way. There's nothing to suggest we are capable of turning over a top Bundesliga side 3-0, mate.

    It's just crazy talk. :giggle1:

Totally agree. Worse Celtic sides than the current one have managed more. We'll need to be at 100% and maybe pick up a bit of luck; but it's there to fight for.

Just found this that shows UEFA in allowing the 2 of them to compete in Europe have broke their own regulations

5.01 To ensure the integrity of the UEFA club competitions, the following criteria apply: a. no club participating in a UEFA club competition may, either directly or indirectly:
    i. hold or deal in the securities or shares of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition,
ii. be a member of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition,
iii. be involved in any capacity whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition, or
iv. have any power whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of any other club participating in a UEFA club competition; b. no one may simultaneously be involved, either directly or indirectly, in any capacity whatsoever in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition; c. no individual or legal entity may have control or influence over more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition, such control or influence being defined in this context as: i. holding a majority of the shareholders’ voting rights; ii. having the right to appoint or remove a majority of the members of the administrative, management or supervisory body of the club; I – General Provisions 13 iii. being a shareholder and alone controlling a majority of the shareholders’ voting rights pursuant to an agreement entered into with other shareholders of the club; or iv. being able to exercise by any means a decisive influence in the decisionmaking of the club. 5.02 If two or more clubs fail to meet the criteria aimed at ensuring the integrity of the competition, only one of them may be admitted to a UEFA club competition, in accordance with the following criteria (applicable in descending order): a. the club which qualifies on sporting merit for the more prestigious UEFA club competition (i.e., in descending order: UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League); b. the club which was best-ranked in the domestic championship giving access to the relevant UEFA club competition; c. the club whose association has the highest association coefficient ranking, drawn up in accordance with Annex D. 5.03 Clubs that are not admitted are replaced in accordance with Paragraph 4.08.

Actually looking forward to this for the simple fact that in Benkovic and Boyata we have finally got a solid looking central defence for the first time since Rodgers took charge over 2 years ago. In Europe, it doesnt matter how good you are in midfield or attack if you have a feeble defence you will get nowhere. Hopefully we can get to Thursday night without getting yet more injuries to important players. Leipzig are 3rd in the Bundesliga so are clearly a strong team but Im confident we will give them a tough match and we are in with a good chance of getting a win. Bring it on.

Was meaning I don't think it's as big as I hoped it would have been when they missed the last game. They showed they have great depth.

Still obviously great if they are out.

Can I ask anyone who meets Leipzig fans to be nice to them ? when we were there , their fans were very respectful and friendly towards us both before and after the game, we had a great time there.

There's a few about. Very friendly, cracking bunch. There's a couple in Mollies. Spoke to some others and meeting up with them in George Square. Gutted I missed the away leg.
