Most I’ve had dealings with don’t care about the individual, they send anyone anywhere.
I had it at the last place they would send people that were from an unrelated background & didn’t want that environment so would walk off the job within a week or two.
One guy walked round on his induction went to to the toilet & out the back door never to be seen again.

We get it at my current place as well.

Why are you interested in this job?

    Because it’s days regular.

    No it’s shifts.

They told me it was days regular. did you see the job advertisement?

    Yes, I have it here.

Show me please. It says shift work at the top of the advert.

They told me it was days regular.

Would you have come knowing it was shifts?

    No.

That’s why they told you it was days regular.

Take the better money & days work.

If you pass it up & hate the care work you might not get another chance.

If you really want to try care work get a part time weekend job at a care home or join a company that provides bank staff & insist only on weekend days or afters.

Decide after trialling which way job you best

Ye its something iv been thinking about,i might not get another chance of a job withe the hours 8.00am/4.00pm with free weekends.
And as you mention if working within the care home environment is something i really want to get into i could look at a bit of part time work to see if its for me.

Firstly, congratulations and good luck with the job.

My main concern is thr company (I assume its an agency which poached you) kept back your job application for yourself - I find that really unprofessional and not sure I would have went to work for them if it was me.

Reminds me of a job I handed over at the start of the year. I went to site to run over the as-built against drawings and sort out any last snagging. When I got there it quickly emerged that I was called out for a chat because the client wanted to head hunt me to come work for them. Again, really unprofessional.

If I'm correct and you are away to recruitment for an agency then good luck. It's a cut throat environment, sales. When you have a client on your hands, it's likely he's already spoke to at least one or two other agencies as well. Money is only good if you hit your targets etc. You really need to be target orientated in that sense.

If you feel good about the situation then go for it man. But don't settle if you're not 100% cos you'll likely regret it.

Aye second day now. All ok, classroom based stuff and a bit dry, but it's fine for what it is and the people are nice.
Got a few mates who work with the same company, already on the company email system and sorting out beers and weekend accas haha

If you are a lying bottom feeder blood sucking leech devious * treat people like slabs of meat , lie to everey * who you talk to . Its the job for you. You have been screwed over already by the agency, they are already teaching how to screw people over.

It's actually working for the recruitment company that advertises jobs for the whiskey place that I applied for mate , because of my experiance of working in manufacturing they thought that I would be better suited for a job in recruiting people to work in the whiskey place.

Also they have assured me and put into my contract that if It doesn't work out I can have a job either in their office or working in the factory so I'm mu eyed it's a win win situation for me
