Just realised the policy you suggested was tied to an average wage rather than the lowest wage - which would make my example a bit irrelevant.

I thought the suggestion was to tie CEO pay to employees on the lower end of the payscale.

Labour can suck a * through a straw.

    * would want to actually vote for a bunch of closet right wingers masquerading as socialists?

A Scottish Labour official is heard telling a party conference delegate she might not be called to speak after he thought he saw her "crossing" herself.

Andy Kerr was chairing the afternoon session of the UK party's annual gathering in Liverpool when the remark was made.

It was towards the end of a debate on party rule changes and Mr Kerr was picking out the final three speakers from the audience.

During live coverage on the BBC's Parliament channel he is heard, but not seen, saying: "Seeing as you are being persistent, I am going to take you.

"Did you cross yourself there? In that case I might not."

The woman in question was not identified in the footage.

Seen this earlier, can only imagine the outcry if this had been either a tory or an SNP official. Truth is all parties have scummy * in the party. The key is how the leadership deal with them when they out themselves, as they usually do in the end.

In other news they have also confirmed their commitment to the union, so that'll keep the wee unionist * happy as well.

Wont do anything for the people they represent unless they get a backhander.
Not quite as bad as the tory scum but not far off it.

I’d say they’re worse. At least the Tories are reasonably upfront about what they are and who/what they represent.

Labour are a joke and a disgrace.

    I have a joke you'd like.

Is the KKK really that racist? I went to one of their meetings once and there were loads of black people hanging around.

They have backed themselves into a corner saying there would be no second ref, and tow the line of going with the will of people.

To then vote on if there should be a second vote and what that should entail means their word should be as trusted as May's when it came to refusing any possibility of a snap GE only to hold one months later.

Labour ?. They're just tories with red ties.
Brexit ?. Refuse to commit to a second referendum, hoping the tory party * brexit up so a general election is called.
More interested in getting into power than looking out for the interests of the general public, knowing full well what damage brexit will do to the country.

When you think back to Scottish Labour ( around 2014 Indy ref' ) tweeting that a NO vote would save the NHS . At the same time UK Labour were tweeting that the Tories were a real threat to the survival of the NHS . Totally untrustworthy hypocrites , careerist and centrally controlled . This was backed up by Johan Lamont's quip when she resigned/was pushed from being Scottish Labour leader , about being " kept on message " by " head office " . Their policy against zero hour contracts is well meaning , but I think it's hopeless . If a company scraps zero hour contracts and replace them with a one hour contract , the employee is off a zero hour contract , but still messed around by their employer , unsure of their working hours , and still probably flat broke come payday .

Corbyn is diluting in front of our eyes on our TV screens. He has stepped away from the hard talking rebel politician he was to a snivelling House of Commons suitability barometer politician. He lost his stance and argument by accepting his party had Anti Semites and unacceptable members. He should have stood behind his colleagues and dressed up the situation like the Tories do. All spotlight fell on a couple of his MPs for stating about how barbarous Israel had become and likened them to Nazis. If the cap fits and the rest. Week later and Boris Johnston is rolling out his Oxford style of upper class comedy by calling Muslims in full traditional dress bank robbers. Chuckled at and brushed aside, good old Boris. Nah Corbyn hasn’t got bollocks to stand up or run his country. Not the type of elitist that usually falls into leadership.
