So all we need to do is get rid of 19 players and replace them with 12 quality additions...shouldn’t be a problem :56:

The sad thing is it’s absolutely true.
We’ve put ourselves in a position where the whole squad needs an overhaul.

Anyone know which players are out of contract this season?

He was released by Aberdeen as he wasn't good enough for them despite coming through their academy. He's found his level in the Championship and should be nowhere near our squad. A terrible and frighteningly possible suggestion.

I would argue the last 4 Windows have been, at least, relatively poor with 3 of those being downright appalling.

That window passed was our most important one,in the last few few years anyway, and all involved royally * it up. Just hope it doesn't bite us on the *.

This board are highly unlikely to ever spend big in a winter window and to be frank I think it's 50/50 wether Rodgers would even get it right if they did.

It was obvious player's were going, some were getting past their best and needing replaced so an overhaul was needed between last January and this summer..

    It's been a total * up..

Now we've missed out on the Champion's League so 1 big player will likely want away in January and again by the summer. More positions needing filled..

Keeper. Right back. 2 centre backs at least. A box to box midfielder. A creative attacking midfielder that can play 90 every week. A winger. A striker..

That's positions that need addressed badly..

    * knows how we're going to do it all. Doesn't help when we've got guy's sitting on the sidelines contributing fuckall like Sinclair, Simunovic and Bitton who are probably pocketing about 55/60 grand between them a week..

Can any one who thinks we will be bringing in players in January explain why they feel them players were not brought in already?
Not looking for an argument i just cant see why there is this believe we will bring in new players in January when its clear we have needed fresh faces brought in for a while now and all we have got is the bare minimum ,if even that.

Really * off with how we have done our business regarding trans fares(and the boyata situation).

Baffles me people still trust Rodgers and Congerton in the transfer market.

We need a GK RB CB LW ST that will walk into the team and be first choice.

We’ll be told how we’ll only sign ‘quality not quantity’ and Boyata will sign a precontract with somecunt and Rodgers will be in the press saying he never saw it coming.

Reading this thread you realise just how many players we have piled up who seem to have no realistic proispect of getting a run in the team (Allan, Benyu, Kouassi, Hayes, on it goes...)

I guess this will happen with the market we are shopping in but I think we would be better playing youth prospects than accumulating more players on the off chance one of them will take off.

If the board have any intention of keeping Brendan long term it has to be a big window. Brendan won't stick around to let the 10 in a row slip on his account. I think with a decent window we will end the season comfortably but if don't it could get all a bit uncomfortable. The January window is massive for both our future standing but he will be managing us come next season. Why would Brendan stick around if he doesn't feel the board are investing in him as well as the team. Ultimately, unless Brendan is given decent funds to accelerate us to that 10 in a row he knows he risks being the manager that failed to secure it. He wouldn't want to be remembered as the Celtic manager that happened too!

Hope to * the board back him and I hope the financial backing is used wisely

Bar Edouard the summer was a shanner of a window the way it panned out in the end too no fresh quality blood put into the team for a few mill in key positions instead we got a couple of frees and another 12 month loanee ...lost our best player but 20m extra sitting in the bank on top of already record figures . should we need a fresh injection in a few positions , it remains to be seen again if we see any of it.

To be fair though (even though yer right) McIness rates that big lump of wood they have up front over Adam Rooney.
