Threw dog food out for the fox, that I've not seen in ages, and 2 cubs came out and took it. Two more mouths to feed.

Love the foxes Cidermaster. Get a bad rep due to lying scum in the media. We need to do more to try and protect them.

My daughter and I watched a Crow take a piece of hard bread to a loch, dip it in the water a couple of times to soften it up before eating it. Smart as *, and cool as * looking birds.

Watched a great fight between 2 Magpies and a Carrion Crow this morning. Lasted about 10 mins. The Crow had the upper hand before the Magpies flew off.

Last week at work I saw a Red Squirrel , it bolted across the ground and quickly climbed a wall . It sat on the wall and kept watching me . It had to turn 180 degrees to see me walk away from it . I found a stunned Bat lying on the mono blocked ground in town . I picked it up with litter pickers , as I heard someone nearby died from a Bat's bite fairly recently , and placed it in the closest garden . Today on my morning walk , I saw a Buzzard , various Ducks and a very vocal Heron . They were all beside my local river . I also saw many holes in the far bank that I assume are Sand Martin nests .

My daughter and I watched a Kestrel hunt for about an hour one day a few years ago. We followed it all over the area we stay in. It was hard to keep up, but we managed it. It was due to that Kestrel that we became serious bird-watchers. The Kestrel still hold a special place in our hearts.

Yes it was the Kestrel that really gave me the Birding Bug as well good pal,i studied a pair near my old home for 2 straight Summer Holidays when i was 10 and 11 years old.I was fascinated by them,so proud that they are in the Falcon family.I followed them hunting, saw them catch prey in the open and take prey to the nest and feed the young.Brilliant days they were:50:
