    - Every player that started the 5-0 title winning demolition in April is fit and eligible for tomorrow.

    - They have improved their defence, yet their midfield and attack doesn't seem to carry any greater threat than last season. Candeias and Halliday are still regulars in the side. They aren't scoring many goals, yet they have got a lot better at keeping teams out.

    - A lot of their so-called improvement has been based on the hype train surrounding Gerrard being in his first managerial role. This was always going to happen if he made a decent start and Brendan is far too clever and astute to be worried about this. This will also have been drilled into the players.

    - Who have they actually beat so far that's any good? Again, it's their improved defence that is getting them through games, especially in Europe. Even having said that, they are still vulnerable when you get at them. Lost 3 to Motherwell just last week. They have drawn more games than they have won.

    These are just the facts.

    I understand that some of our fans are apprehensive about this game given the self-inflicted misery which has created a dark cloud over the club in the past few weeks, but in reality, we are still the better side with a better squad. Not much has changed in that regard.

    I feel dodgy about this, not because they are good but because we are surrounding ourselves in a lot of negativity lately and I worry the players won't be up for it.
