Anyone go to celtic games by themselves. Considering getting a season ticket for next season by myself but don't know if that's weird or not.

It’s not weird and there’s no reason to care about how weird it is. You go to support the team.

That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard in my life. Shame on you

Don’t do it myself but I would definitely not have a problem with it. Think I would quite enjoy it actually. I’ve watched junior matches myself but never Celtic, just dawned on me actually I’ve never been to a Celtic game alone.

Watching games in the house I actually prefer being by myself, funnily enough.

Nothing weird about it. There are thousands like you who travel alone but usually after going to a few games you get to meet others and often make great friendships.

But why not try joining a local CSC and get to games on a supporters bus? Or go a pub where fellow Celtic fans meet up and even when there is no CSC or bus running a few travel together by public transport or cars.

I never even watch the games on tv on my own, unless it's on my phone and I'm out and about. I have sat myself at matches on my own but I always travel with friends/family beforehand. Up to you mate but I would still try and get on a supporters bus, it adds to the match day experience!

Defo better off going on a supporters bus and having a few cans before the game.

Maybe more than a few If Hendry and Simunovic are playing.

Nah, that's basically what I done when I got my ST a few years back. Always know someone going to the game and sometimes head up or back together, but if not, no biggie. Thought sitting myself would be weird but you end up speaking to folk round about you and that anyway so it's pretty sound and not a big deal.

If my bhoy can't make the game and none of my numerous relatives can make it I go on my own, in fact people sat on either side of are on their own and good people.
There was a similar thread about people going to the pub alone, people need to grow a pair and * people who think it's weird, I can't imagine not doing what I enjoy because people I don't know don't like it

Pretty sure we've had this thread before and the advice was much the same : nowt wrong with it. Never travel by myself but sometimes we end up with a group of tickets sometimes singles. Doesn't bother me. Just speak to the folk around you. We are all there for the same reason. Unless you're sat/stood next to me and you are a *. In that case leave me alone I'm busy watching the game.

When I had my season book I sat in an area I had never been in before but you soon get to know the folk around you.

There’s many a time for big away games and Euro homes I’ve ended up with a single ticket and sat on my own, don’t see what the issue is as on many occasions you end up sitting next to fans in the same boat, I’ve met some really nice folk over the years through having to sit on my own, it’s very very rare indeed you will encounter anyone being stand offish if you spark off a conversation.

Travelled to internationals away on my own a few times and a few with groups of lads.

Travelling alone/going to a game is a different experience and not for everyone but i have no problems with it,in fact i enjoy the experience as i can be flexible with the arrangements while thats not always the way when your in a group.

Some say its weird but each to their own iv done it a few times and always enjoyed it,sometimes the mates cant or wont go to a game and thats never going to be a reason for me missing a game i want to see.

Get your ST and go the games and enjoy the occasion and as time goes by you,ll find your talking to people around ye like ye know them all your life.

As you get older the folk you used to go with start dropping by the wayside for various reasons, normally family commitments, moving away etc and since I became a regular in the mid 80s nobody I used to go with in the 90s goes anymore let alone the 80s or at least not regularly so you meet new folk on the way from different age groups, backgrounds, parts of the country and that in itself can be a great thing and an exciting part about supporting the club.

Hi guys. First time poster. I've only recently moved to Glasgow and I'm going to the Kilmarnock game on the 8th. I've no issues going on my own but could someone advise me of some good bars that I could frequent for pre match atmosphere and anywhere good after the game ? Beer & football , 2 of my favourite pastimes

Welcome :50: The Turnstiles, The Real McCoy n The Springfield Vaults are all pretty much just outside the ground n depending on where your tkt is for only 5-10 mins from the turnstiles. The Celtic Supporters club on London Road is only another 10 mins walk. If you go to the Gallowgate/Barras the pubs along there like Saraee Head n Bar67 will be full of Celtic fans. If you ask a taxi driver for any of those bars you won't go far wrong.
