Hope Villa stand firm on Grealish and subsequently cool their interest in McGinn. Wouldn't bet on that, but stranger things have happened.

 

I think Grealish will still go, Villa are just trying to get an extra £3-5m. They have apparently asked for £32m so I expect an offer of £27-30m.

 

Hold on, I'm not one for conspiracy theories but.....Could Villia have reject Spurs' offer for Grealish because McGinn is on his way back up the road?

Why are people talking about the Grealish deal as if it has fuckall to do with anything

 

We NEED a good squad for the coming season and to strengthen! We should be pulling away from the pack while we are ahead. We lost armstrong we need a replacement for him. Its a long season and Mcginn would been perfect for that and the price wasnt exactly wayyy over the top for him. For what we could/will pay for him could be nothing in the long term if he were to come here and play for years to come, he defo has another few levels to go.

This deal should of been done when brendan wanted it done.

It should never have come down to "because he is a Tim" we either wanted him or we didn't. We should have paid the fee wanted or come closer to it in the first place. Now, if it still happens, we will pay about what was wanted in the first place. Plus we will have to pay higher wages given Villa will have, no doubt, offered a decent wage.

Seriously though as a celtic fan and ST holder since 94/95 season if I was even in talks with another team and Celtic came in for me and matched the package I would sign for celtic no doubt about it, even if the phone went when my pen was hovered over the contract I would be like "sorry lads that's celtic on the phone am away to Parkhead" so just goes to show the reports he wasn't that keen on coming to celtic must have had some substance to them!
