Bate/HJK or Shkendija/Sherrif shouldn’t be a problem. Not too sure about the rest, would like to avoid Aek Athens, Us Salzburg and Aek probably the strongest in the champions section of qualifying.

This new format is mental. If we make it all the way, we have to play a European game every week up until 30th August.

Hopefully the players will be in decent shape.

I'd probably go for this order of preferred choice

    1. Shkendija/Sheriff Tiraspol
    2. BATE/HJK
    3. Red Star/Suduva
    4. Cluj/Malmo
    5. Dinamo Zagreb/Hapoel Beer Sheva
    6. AEK Athens

I don’t even want to think about potential next round ties when we’ve no even kicked a baw in anger against Rosenborg.

Massive step up for us, despite coming back sharp this season.

I’d have the exact same order, Avoiding Aek Athens is a must.

One tie at a time .. but hopefully Rosenberg will make decent opponents get us up to speed..

I actually think the extra competitive tie could be a good thing..

I'd take any of the first 3 really, dont think theres probably much between those teams.

Yeah I’d be delighted if we draw any of the first 3, have a horrible feeling we will draw Aek though. :giggle1:

Ok I'll indulge this presumptuous chatter, what's so good about AEK may I enquire?

I’m by no means saying rosenborg is a formality, I’m just looking at the draw and hoping we get the easiest possible draw IF we take care of Rosenborg.

Won the Greek league last season by 6 points, a much tougher league than ours, finishing ahead of Paok and also finishing 13 points ahead of Olympiakos. Obviously no mugs.

1 to 4 we'd pump in my opinion..

The last 2 ties would be dodgy..

The round after that looks easier..

I really think we'll do it comfortably this year..

To be fair to get rosenborg then get aek before play off round is hard route..... Basically as good as a champion league group game from ten year ago or a top Europe league group game in terms of quality
