Yeah but he doesn't go out of his way to try and look like a 'ard man and puff the chest out etc so it doesn't count.

I know but since Forrest does be further up hendry pulls out a bit wider like a full back. Would like to see him CB with a RB beside him

Hoping that we spend a bit of money on a RB instead of trying to shoehorn Hendry in there while Lustig is away.
It's going to take that to dislodge Lustig maybe a few million,We where looking at Odubajo so it's clear its an area that Brendan knows we need , but looked at him and thought he's not any better than we have or not worth the risk.

I'm no talking about pushing sombody and giving it hand bags. I mean showing agression on the pitch when it matters ,like against the huns at parkhead at Christmas or in europe.when we needed him to put in hard challenges and not go hiding. * pushing sombody doesn't change his character. It's ok scoring belters against partick thistle at parkhead. But he was an absolute * bag when we needed him. And after playing decent for 6 month in 4 year thought he was too good to play for us.

I was seething after that home game against Sevco. He was a complete passenger against a midfield of Holt, McCrorie & Krancjar :99:

I know a few times a gave him the benefit of the doubt in Europe against top players. But that was pathetic. No fight from him.

People will say it was his hernia issues that were to blame but I can't imagine a guy as meticulous as Rodgers playing him if that was the case.

Ntcham got subbed on and immediately dominated the midfield area.

Forgot this was the hendry thread. Was just trying to make the comparison with the lack of agression . I just don't think it can be taught . And wotry about henry getting bullied in that sense.

He is never a right back and we are effectively hanging him out to dry by playing him there. He gives his all but is visibly uncomfortable there.

He’s not been playing at right back, is the main issue...

Did he not play right back Away at Alashkert?

He also played at the end of last season at right back.

He played right back tail end of last season aye but he was right of a 3 against Alashkert and against Liège and looked poor in both games.

Not getting on his back he has good attributes but he needs to buck up his ideas sharpish, the out of position excuse isn’t one anymore for me.

He’s definitely got attributes for Centre half, doesn’t suit that right of a back 3 role though. I think he can definitely improve but only if he’s played in his natural position.

Not surprised to see this thread buried under every other player. Played very well today

He looked more comfortable centrally for sure, credit where it's due, did well tonight.

Hopefully onwards and upwards for him.

I think it's quite tough being a CB, getting hounded when you make a mistake and rarely get much praise when you've had a good game. Typically when a CB has a good game you don't really notice them all that much.

Played very well is a massive exaggeration.

He wasn’t troubled whilst at the same time put Gordon under pressure a couple of times. Again Rodgers chastised him within the first 2 minutes.

Don't rate him at all and at 23 I don't see him as one for the future. It's about time the board stopped fannying about and spent on a quality defender

I'm still not fully convinced tbh, we still look fragile at the back, i really wish Brendan would get some decent quality in our defence, it would complete the jigsaw, as middle to front i think we look really good.
