    That's the problem with loan signings if no deal in place to make it permanent, your basically developing another clubs player for them then they can do what they want with him.

    Good first season , injury hit 2nd season your only buying potential, but wev'e had a higher class of loan before in Bellamy.

    I remember how excitig it was that he was joning for another year. The number 7 jersey and all. It was such a shame he got injured and his season fell flat. 1 goal for us last season. Will miss him though

    City just signed Mahrez for 60mill, paddy at a deal going the other way makes some sense.
    But if he isn't, then surely now paddy has to realise he ain't getting a look in at city.
    Sane, bruyne, sterling, Mahrez, Silva...no chance.

    Silva, Mahrez and Foden are all ahead of him but he made it quite clear he is done at Celtic with his comments and that’s fine I don’t mind that! Last season didn’t work out with injury but still an excellent talent!

    "PATRICK ROBERTS has refused to rule out a stunning return to Celtic.

    The 21-year-old spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan at Parkhead, becoming a huge fans’ favourite.

    But in May, the Manchester City starlet expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.

    However, with the English transfer window closing on Friday, there has yet to be any firm offers tabled for his services.

    And Roberts – who who seven trophies at Celtic – admitted he could be forced into a rethink.

    He said: “Obviously I said at the end of the season that I spent a good two and a half years there and my time was brilliant.

    “You never know in football."

    “I’ve said before that I could end up back there at some point but right now I’m just looking at what’s best for me and best for my future.”

    Roberts – who is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad – also revealed he has not spoken to boss Pep Guardiola.

    But it’s believed City chiefs will listen to offers for the player, who was signed from Fulham in a £12million deal three years ago.

    He said: “No [I’ve not spoken to Guardiola], I’m just here to train, work hard and get my fitness up

    “We’ll see what happens."

    “I know the window closes soon. If something happens before then, great.

    “We’ll have to see what happens. I can’t really say anything.

    “We’ll have to see what’s best for me. But right now, I don’t know. We’ll see.”
