If Bert benches Rogic now then he undies all the brilliant work he’s done so far.

That being said, his tactics have been spot on up to this point, so who am I to question what he does.

I just want to see my boy Tam score a belter and send lads through to the next round.

We would roll those box heads given the chance.

They struggle badly for creativity but with a team as limited as they have you can't rely on guys who won't track back and defend. He would shine in a better team but the lack of offensive support is a massive hindrance to his style of play.

Seen a lot of all 3 games, looked their best player unsurprisingly along with that winger Leckie who is * rapid. They’ve also got a young winger can’t remember his name who they are calling the next Harry Kewell looked very promising when he came on.

Feel sorry for Tam but glad he’s coming back injury free and fully fit.

Tam did very well last night but he wasn't our best player over the three games. Aaron Mooy was definitely our best and most consistent, closely followed by Sainsbury and Leckie. Arzani will be a huge star and is currently en route to London to discuss his future with his agent and the City Group people.

Next stop, the Asian Cup in January.

Watched all of Australia's games and he was by far their best player. In the second game especially, they were creating chances when he was on, then didn't create any when he went off.

When he actually got the service he made things happen an absolute waste in that team

Agreed, Rogic had a couple of good 45's. Mooy was phenomenal in the entirety of the first 2 games, Sainsbury was class in the French game and good against the Danes.

Not many turned up against Peru, in which Rogic had his best performance.

Think what the WC has upderlined is precisely why Rogic loves it here at Celtic, with the style of play under BR and was willing to commit his long term future here.

Playing ia Socceroos team, where not all of the players really are of a particularly high quality, he was starved of the service that he gets here at Celtic. When he did have the ball there were moments of quality, but either through tactical decisions (evident in the France game, for example, that the instruction was to target the French fullbacks who they percieved as the weakness, meant that any time the ball wnet forward it was pushed out wide to those areas instead of centrally where Rogic operates) or simply not good enough supply of the ball in positions where he can do the most damage meant that he didnt get to show the full measure of his quality at the WC.

Here, he gets the service and is surrounded by players of an overall higher quality than the moajority of the Australian side. He plays in a team with a system that suits his game, and is not expected to be constantly having to battle for or get the ball inside his own half of the pitch where there are the likes of Brown and Ntcham there to do that.

Let's not forget that the Socceroos played against teams rated 7, 11 and 12 in the world. Oz is rated 36. Rogic finds it much easier in Scotland not because of the quality of his team mates but the standard of teams against him. There's no comparing France and Denmark with Hearts and Kilmarnock.

I kinda disagree. Not that he was able to fully showcase his abilities, to the extent that we know he is capable of, but certainly there was moments of class sprinkled in there; a little flick here, a nice turn there, and close control in crowded areas against that opposition, and was definitely one of the better players that Australia had. Where the difference lies in that there is more opportunity for him to show what he can do with the ball against teams here in Scotland because Celtic usually are able to control more of the ball in average and in more advanced areas of the pitch over the 90 min, which is where Rogic is most effective, compared to what he and the Socceroos had to contend with v France, Denmark and Peru.

You're kinda agreeing with me. Yes Celtic control more ball in advanced areas (allowing Rogic to shine) but it's because they're playing Hearts and Kilmarnock! Not France and Denmark.
