Is this a Morelos type bid or a genuine £7m?

That's a great deal for a player with 1 year left.
Hopefully can bring in the players we need.
And as much as I do like Armstrong...gold solid player with tons of energy, McGregor has really stepped up this last year so Armstrong won't be as missed. Got tam there too.

Let's get the rest of our business done Celtic.

I see what you did there. You have now been offered a job in the Scottish Main Stream Media as head of Sport

We will miss him domestically, it's no coincidence that we scored way less goals last season with him largely absent. His direct runs into the box are a huge asset against packed defences.

    Good luck to him.

Guys he has shown no ambition as he will not win anything at Southampton but will probably double his wages so can you really blame him .

The average salary in the Premier League was £51k per week last year.

There's superstars earning a fortune, but most teams have squad players that hardly get a game.

And I've never hid the fact that I will resent him forever if he left us so we're all good :50:

    Good business for everyone involved.

Wish him all the best in the career ahead of him, although I wish it was at Celtic.

Stuart Armstrong Set to undergo Southampton Medical as he closes in on £7m move

The Celtic midfielder is on his way out of Glasgow and is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday.

Stuart Armstrong is set to complete his £7million move to Southampton

    The 26-year-old has
travelled south for a medical after Celtic agreed terms with Saints over the weekend and is expected to be unveiled by the Premier League side on Wednesday.

Armstrong's transfer could rise even higher as Record Sport understands the £7m fee is just the basic amount, with add-ons also included in the deal.

His departure will also provide a significant cash injection for former club Dundee United who inserted a 10-per-cent sell-on clause in a deal which took the player to Parkhead in a £1.6m move in January 2015.

    It will swell the
Tannadice coffers to the tune of around £540,000. Armstrong has won four Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups at Parkhead.

But he’s hankered over a move south for several seasons despite signing a two-year deal with the Hoops last summer.

I'm going to say my views on him leaving in bullet point:
    A) No hate, he scored numerous goals and was part of the team that set an unbeaten record and a double treble record.
    B) I have no problem with players using us a jump start to their career, many players will use us as that, if we didn't take on players who came to us to boost their career we would be *.
    C) I won't miss him as playing for Celtic is heavily about passion, I'm not sure he had it. He had his good season and decided he wasn't good enough. You can use us a jump start and have passion as I think Wanyama, Forster and Van Dijk had it. I also feel that we have enough goal scorers in our team where we can do without him you just have to look at Griff, Moussa, French Eddy, McGregor, Sinclair, Forrest and Rogic.
    D) I don't think he will go down in history like many of the players above will and plenty of others in our squad like Tierney, Brown and Gordon. He could of, but he has chosen not to in my view.
    E) We have made a tidy profit, what did he cost £2m plus 10% sell on, so over £4m.
