Well obviously we can't as opinions on it in this thread are split.

And over 35% of the votes are against it.

It has not done anything about the wrestling matches at corners and free kicks .

Considering VAR has given penalties for it, it’s definitely done something.

    Hi Paul ,
Unfortunately the wrestling at corners and free kicks is getting worse and it would be good to see VAR cutting down on that * .

It most certainly is not getting worse.

    Exactly.

Said it before but it's absolutely ridiculous how long it takes for a free kick to be taken. A good 2 or 3 minutes at times.

Cant believe after using VAR the boy who stamped against Argentina never saw red. Could have totally changed the outcome of the game. He went in to score the forst goal tae.

    Rebic his name is.

Exactly what? Every single game has 5 minutes+ added onto the end of it.

Portugal v Iran - why this will not work in its current format. And don't get me started on the time keeping.
I'm actually leaning towards being in favour, but the system as it stands is disgraceful.
    Outreagous decisions tonight.

VAR and still mistakes galore almost everyday on the biggest stage..

It's gonna cost someone bad in the knockouts..

You watch. Holding and red card tackles have been let go constantly and the softest of penalties continue to be awarded if any 'contact'..

The thought of some of the * Scottish refs being able to use VAR is frightening if its used as badly as that ref used it.

It shouldn't be brought in until everything is done right, still too many wrong decisions with it that leaves fans even more raging because they are inconsistant with checking things.

At the moment i'm in the yes camp. Most decisions have been on point. Most. Not all.

Cant be arsed with players crowding the ref after every tackle "check the camera" should have 1 or 2 challenges per game by the manager otherwise what the ref says goes.

Up to this point, the entire Group section minus a couple of games, they’ve got a single decision wrong using it. That is a superb strike rate and it proves how good it’s been. Thus far.

For it being the first use of it at a major Championships it has been an unmitigated success.

In tonight's game the ref was going to give costs Rica a penalty and pointed to spot then in his ear var refs in the studio booth , with all the ref clober on even through there no on the park told the ref correctly that it was offside and in doing so he didn't go to tv screen they just told him in his ear
I think it could work but instead the fourth official sit e at monitor and can direct the referee through earpiece with no need for going off to check himself

how they gonna go forward with this is everything going to be able to go to var is the ref going to be allowed to say no im not looking at the var replay ?

its good when it works right and justice is done but what if in a game one team gets a decision that leads to them taking the lead and the other team doestn get a var decision because the ref decides it isnt warranted

its like one step forward and 2 steps back, snakes and ladders

and like others have said they need to stop the watch when they are going to var or they are thinking about it and re add the time its mental the time lost
