    haha class.

My mate told me a story a few years ago about some traffic cops using their speed gun on a country lane late at night. They clocked something going along the road at 180 mph - no lights nothing. It turns out there was an RAF base just up the road and 2 of the pilots were driving their Porsche with their night vision goggles on!!

Err, I think the liaison officier had the tongue in cheek. Missiles firing by themselves unless the pilot stops it, i dont think so

I think you'll find its there anti ground to air missile defense, the ground to air missiles use radar to lock onto there target ( the aircraft) and thats how the defense system was inc-operated onto all fighter jets, this particular jet on a fully armed exercise obviously had the planes defense system active and when it detected the police radar it acted as it should have, and as it says no harm was caused as these things can be over ridden, suppose from the pilots point of view better safe than sorry lol

That is true...I know somebody in the Air Force...he's flew countless bombing raids over Iraq....ironic, because he's totally opposed to the war....
