Think I’d rather the big man on a permo deal than Paddy :fear:

I do get the feeling we will and hope we do manage to sign Edouard this summer.
I also genuinely think we can and it would be better for Dembele to stay at least one more season especially given how much time he has missed this season.

Just get Broony tae sneak intae his room and burn his passport, reckon Eddy could be a real cult hero here if he stays for a while. He just seems made for us and the style we play, versatile enough to cover as a winger too.

BR on @Oedouard22: "He’ll struggle for next weekend. It’s been unfortunate really for him. He’s got better and better as the season has gone on. He’s probably going to struggle between now and the end of season."

BR: "He’s adapted very well, you see his qualities. It’s a shame for him if he has to miss out, he’s been a very important member of our squad. Nothing we can do."

Sign him on a perm. Get Thomas Didillon in goal. Keep Dembele one more season. Ntcham to dominate the middle.Let the French connection run riot and lead us the the EL final...

Definitely think he should be this Summers target signing.

Paddy would be a bonus but we need a solid striker.

He said himself he wants to stay, Brendan said he wants to sign him permanently....think it will happen.

I think this will happen. I hope we don't lose Dembele yet though, his value isn't the highest just yet.

See I think the opposite if he stays for another year then he has 1 year left on his deal and his value diminishes significantly! Sell him this summer and if he is going back to England their window now shuts the day before the season starts for incomings then it will net us a decent windfall! However where I agree with you is try and keep him here to next January then with 18 months on his deal and a decent finish to this season and start to next season then there is no reason you can get top dollar but I myself think Moussa will leave this summer and he will leave with the knowledge he has developed here and has contributed in a significant way to the history of Celtic and we then look to find another striker to compliment Eddy (if he stays) and Griffiths next season

Anyone have a clue what the fee would be ? Someone mentioned 7 million to Rodgers a while back and he seemed surprised. I reckon it would be more along the lines of 5 million

Rodgers said it is nowhere near the figures quoted in the media the agreed price, like yourself i would think £4m to £5m which is what we have spent on Sinclair and Ntcham in recent summer windows.

Because there is no way we will pay the £8 million agreed fee.

The most we will pay is £5.5 million I reckon which is probably what we are doing - trying to negotiate down the agreed fee. to what we are actually willing to pay.

I keep hearing he said it was lower/much lower. Where?

He said once it wasnt £7m, which I agree hinted it was lower but as far as I can see he didnt say it was lower?

I think we've assumed he meant it's lower when he rubbished that figure, because it's probably unlikely we agreed anything higher.

he said on 22nd March - the fee mentioned of £7m is well wide of the mark, the fee would still be a considerable outlay for Celtic but it is pre-agreed all we need to do is trigger the fee but not near £7m
