Both, come come on Pete get the cheque book out.

If I had to pick 1 tho it would probably be Paddy.

I chose Roberts too because I think if his injury hasn't affected his ability then he's going to improve and become more consistent. That goal Edouard scored was amazing especially the timing of it and the genius of Brendan leaving Dembele on. Roberts has scored that goal quite af few times, just not when10 men in the zoo coming from behind twice.

Edouard does look the real deal but I've said that about players before. Seems a bit of a riddy now but I swore Scott Allan was going to be a superstar cause the first few glimpses of him he was world class. Perfectly timed reverse passes into our strikers totally fooling the defence. One touch link up play with Roberts and McGregor and Griffiths, scoring Barca style goals. I couldn't understand why he wasn't getting a game but eventually realised he wasn't consistent at all.

Roberts is very consistent and can make runs past 3 defenders himself or play one twos taking out 5 players. Score from outside and inside the box. He is a very talented player and the evidence right now says he's better than Edouard but as Caz says that evidence also says £20m. We'll never spend that on a player cause you have to match it with similar wages.

If we're getting Odsonne for £5m right now I'd take the gamble. We're going to have to start taking that kind of gambles if we want to get to the last 16 again because if we loan folk and they turn out great they turn out for a richer club.

Would love to see them play together, bet they could create some nice one twos. Would terrify defenders.

Brendan will probably take both of them to Arsenal with him anyway :fear:

If we have a clause to buy ed then I would make that priority, as with Roberts I can't imagine it will be easy to secure as man city will probably play hardball. I feel if we tried to get Roberts first we could end up with neither

I don't want Edouard for the reported fees. I don't think he is the type we will break our transfer record for either tbh.

For £3-4m max he's worth the punt. It may only be a £4m gap but for the reported £8m we could probably get someone more complete.

I do like him. Just feel a lesser fee or another loan would be best.

Thing is if both hit full potential, then Edouard will command a bigger fee than Paddy if we sell.

Agree, stop filling the squad with Johnny Hayes types. Season tickets rumoured to be going up another £50, put that towards quality

Anybody who thinks Roberts couldn't cut it in the EPL needs their skull examined.

We are talking about the league the Joey Barton played in :56:

Would Love Roberts to stay as he has been my favourite player since he joined!! Edouard is raw talent and can see why we would be interested in him but at 8-10 million for him and 8-10 million for Roberts we have no chance of signing one, never mind both!

The board have never been close on spending that kind of money on a player and in my opinion wont entertain the idea of spending 10 million on one player.

We are never going to make a loss on either player if we do buy them.
They have potential and will go for many more millions than what we will pay for them.

I would be more than happy to have a structure that ends up at the reported fees dependent on form - 50 goals for us? £2m, a France cap? £2m and £4m upfront. * it. If he gets those kinda things then he deserves it.

We can 100% afford both, we have a large amount of cash in the bank.

I wouldn't pay the reported 8 million for Edouard though.

Thing is when fit the Thumb is gonna start before him plus if we keep Moussa we only need another third choice player. Maybe an extended loan deal for the following season will do. Then see if Moussa leaves.

    Tough one.

Both parent clubs are unlikely to play either of them in their first team so it really depends on whether they sell or loan elsewhere.

I would take Roberts but doubt we could afford him, and he may still see his future in England. Edouard could be the ready made dembele replacement so could be worth the £8m(?) investment, couple of prolific seasons and he could be worth double that easy. He's certainly got enough potential to warrant the fee imo - lot of money to us but it's not in the grand scheme of things.

As the options is one or the other - Edouard for me
Luv Paddy, but think we have wingers and options, we need a little bit more consistency around the striker

Best option would be to loan Roberts as he will cost more than Eduoard right now and maybe try buy Eduoard for 4-5m the kinda market were in.

We need a classy operator at the back though for CL someone in the Virgil mould for 3-5m who's tough and can play football, As Boyata has no concentration levels and thinks he's a player.
