    having been keeping my keen eye on english football for the last 4 years and especially the championship division i can honestly say Shittu is no where near the standard we need and would be lucky to get a game ahead of caldwell and mcmanus

    there is this common misconception that championship players can cut it at champions league level and old firm level (no chance in *)

    they may be in our price budget but certainly not at our talent level

    tbh i would rather we went european in our search for a good unknown CB i dare say there are loads more valgaerens and mjallby's just waiting to be snapped up

    why drop our bar to chapionship level players....no wonder we are getting poorer as time passes

    he is certainly not better than McManus or Caldwell. i would even go as far as saying he has the same amount as talent as Cuthbert

    and what big clubs? in the past i've heard of Leeds and West Brom interest. hardly big clubs

    Def o talkin out of your cake hole! when you've been watching him did you take your blind fold off?! Look he's no John Terry but what i'm sayin is he's massive,very mobile & is being tracked by some big clubs,I would love us to sign some great players,some big stars,but it WON'T happen,he is a player with massive potential who i think could flourish at CP

    Honest to *, what use would we have with two clumsy CB's who will just boot everything that moves. We moan about Balde not getting a game, he does and we moan about him being crap. Then our final suggestion? Sign Danny effing Shittu? Someone must be having a laugh!

    according to the tabloids he's been tracked by Everton,Blackburn & Glasgow Rangers at least 2 big clubs there i'd say!

    i don't watch tv with a blind fold. ruins the viewing.

    he has hardly any potential!!!! at the age of 27 he is about to hit his peak. i never said we will sign a john terry, all i said was i hope were aiming higher than danny *.

    I think Shittu would do a good job in the SPL. Have seen him a few times and he looked solid, remember Naylor came from the championship and he gave us a great first year although not much now. But if memory serves me right did we not make enquiries last year about Shittu, and he wasn't interested to come north of the border

    he never even got 1 game for charlton and the year he played for watford they came LAST and conceded 59 goals. Yeeeaahhhh sounds good.

    we shouldnt even be bothering with the english leagues. we should be looking at Europe and trying to pick out some talent for an acceptable price.

    I agree, europe is the place to find good talent, forget about SPL and English Championship players....

    we need some players who will perform for us in latter stages of CL(Wishful thinking)
