Really would like to see more of him over the next month. If he steps up to the mark he might resolve our need for another CB come January. Certainly has the ability, rarely looks flustered and deserves more minutes for me.

I dont care how he plays or any of the CB play we need more quality in that area, even if he turns into Maldini in the next month!

Great slide tackle when one of the Accies players was through on goal.

Heard on the radio he was playing at right back, is that right? Or was it right side or a 3?

Right side of the back 3, strolled it really but he'd be better in the middle of the back 3 to let him bring the ball out. Though 2nd half he was basically a right back, was * weird formation.

was like a back 3 going forward but looked more of a back four when we sat back with McGregor sitting right back

he was also making a lot of runs up the right wing aswell, so looked more right back than right side fo a 3

    Just before our second, each?
Comes from the back /side, slides in to take the ball away from accies player? Mind seeing that at the time and thinking "top notch".

Not overly troubled last night, but from what I could see via * streams, he looked the part. Good with ball at his feet as we all knew/know and done the ugly tasks in his stride.
Like 99.99% of all players under 21 I expect him to make some errors, some of which may cost us a game. But he looks the sort that will only develop more and more from that.

Plus, going by his previous experience, he really does look ready to fit in to the team.
Felt for awhile he deserved to be tried before Bitton was a makeshift cb. But like last season and Kolo, brendan was probably playing it more safe with experience and an older head.

Time to give the lad some needed game time.

But like others, skill need another cb regardless.

Im not convinced on boyata or erik long term, and jozo is superb, but injuries are a concern.

He is the answer to our lack of a proper ball playing CB problem, IMO.

He has good experience for a guy his age, is tall, decent enough pace and brings it out with ease. Not to mention his passing ability, which is good due to his time as a CM.

Desperate to see him get a run, think he could have a Wanyama like impact once he gets going, in the sense that we just won't be able to drop him.

I think him and Kouassi coming into the spine of the side will make us better in the long run. Both young and confident players who are happy on the ball, with tonnes of potential. They aren't being utilised enough.

Needs to get some starts now. Experienced for his age, comfortable on the ball and a physical presence. Still got developing to do but when you see Hearts starting 16 year old boys there's no reason Ajer can't be starting for us now.

Can't stress enough that he isn't as inexperienced as many think. I know it's been said before but he CAPTAINED his former Norwegian side at age 17.

I dont care how * IK Start are, thats impressive. He obviously has leadership qualities of some sort, and we know he has talent. Can we give him a chance for a change? Something has to give, its clear Boyata and Simunovic are weak links at the moment.

    100%.

He has nearly 100 first team appearances by the age of 19. More than Tierney had.

This is strange to me. He's done nothing to suggest he's better, yet.
