hes the best attacker in the world by far and we just make targets of ourselves when we wind him up, it just makes him want to prove the point, i couldnt give a * about all the hate he gets on here its irrelevant, and doesnt harm him one iota

What Brendan has done in the last year and a half has been remarkable on the domestic front and has done well getting us into the champions league.
However he shouldn't be exempt of criticism when it's due, we badly need a plan b when we come up against the big teams.
If Ross county and the likes can shut up shop and contain us and make it difficult for us then we should be able to do the same.
It's really painful to watch us getting embarrassing results.

They just couldn't stop it.. I don't think they accepted it. We could have defended better but they also looked liked they had another gear..

Dembele made some good runs, always looks so dangerous running down left and cutting in

The defending by the midfield was just as bad the amount of times PSG slung balls over the top or through balls unchallenged was ridiculous .the 4 of them can't expect all of them to stand off the guy with the ball at least one of them had to get out to them.
The worrying thing about tonight was the amount of cheap goals we gave away we need to sort it out before the Anderlecht game lets not kid ourselves we were fortunate to come away 3-0 winners in the first game

Absolutely delighted mate with everything and a don't think stracchan Lennon or oneills teams had the mental strength or ability to get anywhere near 64 games unbeaten , it is an amazing feat, by an amazing team think that's why people are a bit confused when only 5 years ago Lennon played as good a barca team as last year . Should've stole a draw in nou camp and beat them home, oneills put a great barca team out uefa cup league. Got a 1-1 draw in nou , stracchan lost 3-2 Then 1-0 in nou , barca just an example but they were a great team then and we manage to play a system to compete, beat teams like Man U, juventus ac Milan also rarely lost by much away, 2 or 3 at most never 7 2 years in a row, Brendan will sort it out for next season though no point in denying it's happened and no trying to address it

"But the best team in history..."

Most of the goals (there would still be 2 or 3 of them left) were schoolboy errors that even bog sides from the bottom half of SPL would take advantage of.

A lot of people say "Scotland should do what we are doing", I think the biggest problem with Scottish football is this "too poor, too wee, too stupid" attitude. Aberdeen crashes out to some Dinamo Slavabarodokovsky and the reaction is the same, "oh, we did our best". Any setback is immediately justified as unavoidable. This is defeatism, not being rightly * that your team loses by 5 or more most of the time they play someone in Europe.

This is really not our best. If it is then what's the point? Then the board was doing the right thing with Deila, Kazim Richards, Tyler Blackett, etc. We don't need much more than this to have success locally and success abroad is impossible anyways right?

Basel, a team with a fraction of the history, fan base and a comparable income just beat Man Utd today. Surely we can be better than this sort of team?

I see what you’re getting at mate but with the style Rodgers is trying to implement it is inevitable that we’re going to take a few drubbings.

Admittedly losing seven goals to anyone is embarrassing but you’ve got to remember the calibre of the two teams we’ve lost seven goals to.

I’d argue that the Barca of a few years ago and this current PSG team have more cutting edge in attack than any other team we have played in the last 20 years, and I include your AC Milan, Man Utd, Juventus sides that we played in that. You must also take in to account that our players aren’t used to being attacked domestically so it is all a new experience against players of that quality.

Passing the ball out from the back and trying to play the same way as we do domestically is the only way forward and it is the only way we can progress and evolve as a team. They’ve beaten better teams than us by similar margins, we just need to use the experience to help us next year and this year in the Europa.

Big jocks team did play beautiful fitba but guys like big billy , big Tam gemmell, wee Bertie weren't slow either in * players into row z and playing the physical tight at the back game either, drew 0-0 with Dukla Prague in away 67 semi final and if you watch it it was a no nonsense defensive display protecting 3-1 home lead from Celtic pk, played great fitba but knew how to play defend and holding out football when need be as well

The only way to beat these teams is to become a great counter attacking team ,people are saying we should defend but in essence we are ,we spent a lot of the game pushed back and trying to shut them down ,it tired the * out our team, hence why we collapsed .
In spl our fitness is a lot better cauz we are using this same tactic on Scottish teams and tiring them out , atm we are not good enough to keep the type of possession at cl level to build our game the way we want to, and tire teams out .so it should be a different approach ,one thats worked for years with teams handicapped ,we need to try to find a way ,but although we are a young team if we can't or don't learn from this then it's time to.look at buying better defenders .
