The wee man was excellent, took this opportunity with both hands. Paddy will have a job on his hands taking the right wing position back

What a difference it makes having real pace down each flank. Makes Lustig's job much easier as well. Top notch performance and best I've seen his passing. The cross for Armstrong early on and the eventual goal were both magical.

First class tonight. Best player on the park for either team.

He could have felt hard done by, losing his place to Paddy but it didn't seem to effect him. He just got the head down and worked hard and when his time came he took it. I would like to think he had done enough to earn a start regardless of what happened to Paddy but there is no doubt the place is his for now.

    Well done Jamesy.

I honestly think he was playing tonight regardless of Paddys injury..

That was a Samaras-esque performance tonight. Some of that powerful running was majestic. Very Gazzelle like. Man of the match and I am normally a critic of him.

Tactically very aware tonight aswell. Evident that Rodgers told him to man mark Coman whenever we don't have the ball. He stuck to it, and done well. A great game for him tonight.

Trust him more than Roberts in the big games, has improved his defensive play dramatically.

    Some performance from Jamesy tonight.

Everytime he got it he just kept driving forward at pace and was causing them all sorts of problems. It was brilliant to watch.

I'd agree that it was probably his best ever game for us - considering who he was playing against.

That ball for McGregor's goal was insane, took 3 Bayern players out the game with it and it was weighted perfectly.

    Deserves a wee song..

Guy across from me on the train home said he thought Forrest was awful tonight, honestly don't know what he was on. I think some people just get a hatred for certain players and then claim they were awful every game regardless of what they do.

He wasn't awful but he could have made better decisions the ball to Armstrong was perfect but at the same time had he kept running he could have shot and scores

Sinclair was what you called awful

Excellent tonight. So positive and when he lost it he didn't let that knock his confidence and just took him on again.

I think confidence is his biggest weakness and on his day he's unplayable.

No Armstrong should've gave it back to him while he was in his stride, was the right choice by Forrest imo

Wow. What a game he had. Mcgregor infuriated me for a couple years and now I love him, Forrest has infuriated me at times too over the years but if he keeps that kind of performance up consistently he will be a favourite too.

Also I mind saying Forrest has a lot to think about every time Roberts had a good game, now Roberts has a lot to think about.
