Bayern 5-0 against Freiburg. Will be up against it on Wednesday but wouldn't expect anything else.

Expected result against bayern. Poor performance but can't get down about it heads straight back up. Most important game of the group at home to Anderlecht and European football after Christmas.

Could still be in Europe after Christmas with 3 points if Anderlecht lose their remaining games against Bayern and PSG plus beat us 1-0,2-0 or 2-1 at Celtic Park

Buzzing for a run in the Europa League. You can almost guarantee we’ll get a right good champions league team in the knockouts though.

Looking at some of the teams that can qualify for the Europa League as it stands (I know there’s still a long way to go!) -

    CSKA Moscow
    Atletico Madrid
    Sporting
    Sevilla
    Napoli
    Porto
    Dortmund

Schedule is a bit in our favor. We play PSG after they will have qualified, and obviously at least stand a shot at pulling off some points from them. We essentially have one game in hand to Anderlecht, as the tie-breaker is head to head first. If we stay three points after the next round, then we ensure that we only need a draw at home. As it is, we've already ensured that a win against Anderlecht will see us through to the Europa League. They can only (unlikely it has to be said) get 6 points before our meeting, which means that even if we lose our last two 32425523452542-0 each time, we could go through with a victory.

How does seeding work in the Europa League last 32? Can we feasibly play another CL third place team?

We need a first choice centre back. Think they said Jozo has played 62 out of 120 odd Celtic games since signing. Not good enough

I think the notion of 'value' in player transfer is outdated and no longer applies at a champions league or EPL level.

Firstly, because most of these teams do not have to budget and do not worry about sell on potential. So the value of a player only comes down to whether a rich team happens to want them at that time, rather than any relative measure.

Secondly, there is a false economy amongst the richest team who trade players. For example, say Liverpool sell Coutinho to Barca for £130m. That means that any replacemet player they go after is suddenly worth a whole lot more. Not because of the player but because liverpool can now offer more for whoever they want. They then have to spend say £50m for a player who last season was only worth £25m and the pattern repeats.

Talking about what a player is worth next to any other no longer means anything to clubs operating at the top levels.

Former Celtic midfielder Roy Keane reckons Brendan Rodgers' side are not learning any lessons from their mistakes in the Champions League. (Evening Times)

This is experienced European team we have now. We still look so poor in Europe

Kind of mental Brendan got us our best European result in like 30 years but after loosing to one of the best teams on the planet he's back to being clueless in Europe...

Aye we’re * mate. Scottish team with more points than teams like Durtmund who are in easier groups, why do we get so much unfair criticism? 3-0 away to Bayern Munich is a standard result for any team, mental how people are still going on about it as if it means anything.

2-0 loss away to Progres, now THAT is embarrassing.

    All about the collective
Astana at home- genius best play off result in years
    PSG- naive ,outclassed , clueless
Anderlecht- back to genius , best away result in years
Bayern- arrogant stubborn and again clueless

So he should be back to being a genius after the bayern home game

No expectation for any sort of a result during the week but the facts are that BR's European record is absolute honking, especially as L'pool manager

Especially as Liverpool manager? So it’s also honking as Celtic manager? Am I reading this right?
