Hard to know where we are after two such shocking results (one shockingly good; the other a record home defeat) in the opening two games. This will tell us a lot!

I have definitely developed a soft spot for them after our 2 meetings last season.

PSG was a bit of a write off, they're looking to make their mark in this tournament this year and we were starstruck by them almost. Same could happen tonight but if we treat them like any other opponent then there's no reason we can't make a game of it.

I wouldn't look into tonight too much either though, Bayern are world class.

Being beat by a financially dopped oil rich team backed by an entire countrys wealth cannot be held as a yard stick to our progress.

3rd is the best we can hope for an a draw would nearly gaurentee that.

Regardless of their money, losing 5-0 at home isn’t acceptable. Of course playing against the best teams in the world is a yard stick for progress. If Celtic want to progress they should be getting closer to teams like bayern and PSG. Not saying it will happen but progress for celtic is measured in these games, not the games against hamilton and ross county.

Money wise thats saying any team we beat away from home 5+ is unacceptable. It happens. Psg done bayern by 3. Theyll do barca by 5 when they meat imo.

PSG were at home against Bayern and it obviously wasn’t acceptable as they sacked their manager the next day. If you think losing 5-0 at home is ok then that’s up to you

Well......I know all the odds are against us again with this game but, as I intimated in my PSG game post, Celtic have a history of making history......Hoops to win !!!

So if we beat some 3rd division pish 5-0 away from home youd expect there manager to be sacked? Dont be daft.

When did I say Rodgers should be sacked for losing 5-0 ? :43: There’s also a much bigger difference between celtic and a part time third division team than celtic and PSG.

Neymar went for €222m and you're saying we should be close to the likes of teams with that kind of resource?

German newspaper BILD has leaked the starting line-ups for Bayern Munich and Celtic - but the Hoops XI contains Jozo Simunovic, who has been ruled out through injury. Cristian Gamboa could come in with Mikael Lustig moving to centre half.

The other Celtic starters - Gordon, Lustig, Boyata, Tierney, Armstrong, Brown, Ntcham, Roberts, Griffiths and Sinclair - appear likely, while there is just one change for Bayern from the starting line-up against Freiburg, with Sebastian Rudy replacing the injured Javi Martinez: Ulreich, Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Alaba, Rudy, Thiago, Robben, Muller, Coman, Lewandowski.

No I’m saying at home we shouldn’t lose 5-0. Played teams just as good and got results at home so why now is it ok to lose 5-0

Resource wise there definitely is. 3rd division players get paid £100 a week and train and play on cow fields.
