Filthy kip and didn't feel safe there, I wouldn't go back to any of the Greek islands if it was paid for and all.

Took the wife to Kavos just after we started going out and told her it wouldn't be that bad!!:fear: Landed on the day that mob beat Argentina with the Beckham pen in the World Cup......in hindsight it wasn't a well planned trip. Also, had a group of Pompey go Mad Portsmouth * trying to act the * a few times at our apartments.

Pretty much for 5 weeks though I was either drunk or going through alcohol withdrawl so ended up having to come home 3 alcohol withdrawls in about 5 weeks .

I don't think i've been anywhere too bad on my travels. Not bad enough to remember anyways.

Unless you include some local places.

Some lovely areas of Fife. It's a real mix of good and bad.

Aye depends where you go, I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in a nice part of it.

Calcutta takes some beating. Children playing in open sewers, homeless people with missing limbs and some other pretty horrific disabilities/conditions including neurofibromatosis (tumours growing on your nerve endings, think elephant man but worse), real third world poverty in every corner. Definitely helps keep first world problems and luxury in perspective though, which is one of the reasons I would actually probably encourage people to go.

Malabo in Equatorial Guinea is a dive. The Prince has 5 Ferraris but nobody else has a bean. Port Gentil is another cracker. * awful place

Butlins Ayr was a total dive. The family cabin was dirty, cold, you had to pay seperately for your own electric, and the local shop was a rip off and definitely not the family attraction you would expect. The Redcoats, the meeters and greeters were unhelpful and a disappointment too. It might just have been a bad year we went but I don't think so, the whole place was depressing.

Looking back Magaluf and Zante were pretty dog * but loved going there at the time.

Drove through places like Grimbsby in England and they seem pretty depressing.

Was in Cambodia a few years ago and loved it but even their capital is a bit of a * hole so you can imagine how bad some of the more rural places are. Nothing quite prepares you for seeing poverty in a 3rd world country.

I am glad no one has mentioned my home town of Cumbernauld yet.

    Hahaha no way.

Was scrolling through all 9 pages of the thread thinking to myself "how the * has nobody mentioned Cumbernauld".

It's just such an ugly looking place, so much concrete very much Chernobyl like. And that shopping centre, holy *!
