    I never said he did it intentionally...but he did do it.

    He kicked someone in the face because he went into a challange with his foot 5 foot in the air studds up.

    Cause he hasn't actually tackled or attempted to tackle anyone, the keeper ran into him as much as he hit him. It was a 50/50 with two people running at full speed.

    Balls bouncing high in the air he is 100% entitled to challenge for the ball, keeper is flying out and he tries to use his foot to nudge the ball past the keeper and connects with the keeper. That is not a red card for me.

    Fifa's laws of the game for the 2017-18 season contains the following entry...

    "Serious foul play - a tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent"

    The two players here (Edereson and Mane) did not enter the challenge equally.

    Ederson came out and challange for the ball with his head. Mane challenged by raising his foot 5 foot in the air with his studds up.

    Only one player was endangering the other...by kicking him in the head.

    Why do you keep using Gordon as an example?

    If Gordon kicked an opponent in the head id have the same response...red card.

    Mane was definitely a red card, his boot was far too high and it was dangerous play. You can't argue with that. Going that high with studs to someones face is incredibly dangerous regardless if you're only going for the ball or not.
