Anyone think there is a slight possibility this is dragging on because Man City feel closer to the deadline they might get a bigger offer from someone in the EPL. Alternatively it takes 6 weeks from some bed shops for them to arrive. Maybe the bunk beds havent arrived at KT's ma's house yet?

Sick fed up of the whole thing.

The trolling, * patter, ITK, Sutton, sources etc etc

Excitement and laughs have turned to a big fat 'meh' for me. No player is bigger than the club and this has started to have that feel to it. Not Paddy's fault of course, but now I couldn't care less if he comes or not.

    (Any chance though? Mon!)

We need to announce this in the next couple of days or move on.

It a guaranteed the old we tried and failed excuse is rolled out day after deadline day. Can i call Celtic and say I tried but failed to pay for my champions league tickets?

They know whether we sing no * or not we will still dig deep and more money disappears into a black hole

Didn't Rodgers say today there's still a loan deal in the balance. It's still ongoing... I know this is ridiculous for a loan but saw it on bbc

I hope Lawell isnt trying to hit Man City with 3 or 4 million when we really should push the boat out for this one and go as far as paying 15 million. We would still make a profit through Champions League qualification over the next few seasons and finally selling him down the line.

Theres more chance of the huns not making a statement after they get beat tomorrow than us paying 15m for paddy.

I'll be beyond furious if we use finance as an excuse not to do this deal. Anything else I can accept: Man City not wanting to sell or loan, Roberts not wanting to go back to Scottish football, but if came down to a disagreement over fees or payments I'll be sickened.

2/3 million pounds and he arrives in September, has to bed back in to the side, displace someone in the team...with potential short term injuries (affecting most players not singling him out) I reckon he'll play 3/4's of a season? I love him as a player, exceptional, but I think that 2/3 mil for one season (with zero monetary return) might be better spent elsewhere, would rather spend it on reinforcing a deal for someone like Duverne.

Thing is if Man City didn't want to sell or loan or Paddy didn't want to come back. Why the * would it take months to find that out?

Almost agree, in that if we end up spending a chunk of money (3 or 4mill)on a loan, then perhaps it is better to go spend that value on our own player. 4 million can get us a better quality of player than we currently have for the right wing, that we can sell on for a profit.

But then 10 million on Roberts, gets us * paddy Roberts and we will not lose any value on that. He will guarantee merchandise, game tickets, even massively help in next year's qualification. Before being sold on for at minimal what we paid, if not a tidy profit.

From the User Agent Scotland on twitter.

    Paddy Roberts update:

Told y'day Celtic trying to sign him outright but his Man City contract structure is so complex (to protect Fulham)

City paid £5m for PR potentially rising to £12m but contract is filled with clauses so City couldn't sell-buy back to get around any payment

A loan could've been concluded weeks ago but Celtic want a transfer, and feeling is this is their only chance for a permanent move.

City are in negotiations with Fulham & Celtic, feeling is City are trying for a resolution for everyone but lot of things need to be agreed

If a permanent deal can't be negotiated he'll return on loan but given how much Celtic want him they're prepared to give it as long as poss.

Makes no sense to me. How can a contract stop a sale of a player if the club accept an offer.

"Cant be sold unless fulham make money" clause. Doubt it.
