This restaurant is not *, it's brilliant food at brilliant prices. Massimo Donati is a frequent diner which tells you all you need to know seeing as he's Italian and wouldn't go to a * Italian restaurant.

De Luciano is another great Italian restaurant although that's in Bothwell.

I haven't been yet but after trying a Galacian sirloin this week in Spain I'll be making a trip to the Spanish Butcher down the merchant.

The Galacian has changed my outlook on steak going forward as its out of this world and to my knowledge the Spanish Butcher is the only restaurant in Glasgow which offers this.

Indian - Green Chili Cafe on argyle street (try the lamb saag. Amazing)

Italian - Im a big fan of Piccolo Mondo which is also on argyle street.

For live music you could always try the Butterfly & Pig or Howlin' Wolf if you like blues.

Was in Steak, Cattle and Grill on Sauchiehall street yesterday and it was immense. A great choice of Burgers, steaks and chicken for pretty reasonable prices and a huge portion as well. Not the poshest of places but the decor was nice enough as well.

I personally think there are far better options for steak in the town but if it's Galician cuisine you're after then it's a good choice.

I'd have no issues going back but I wouldn't choose to if given the option.
