Anyone know what's happened to Luke Donnely? He was looking like another promising youth player not long ago, also, where is Aidan Nesbitt?

I don't think Nesbitt would look out of place with Benyu's place in the squad. Am I wrong?

Nesbitt is not good enough. Older than Henderson and didn't manage to make an impact even at * Greenock Morton. He has one goal scored in his entire career. Had high hopes for him but sadly his time is up

Think that's him just getting back in Dev squads after a bad injury at the end of last season.

Hopefully not recurring as I think he would have been ahead of Miller in development.

Give Lennoxtown and the academy another 5 years and just think what can be.

We are starting to really enjoy the rewards of the whole setup, with the first true batch of youth talent coming through the setup that was put in place a few years back.
More fine tuning and better youth coaching etc and we could see the kids perform even better.
Really excited about the future with some of the younger lads, Miller, Tierney, ralston. * it was only a few years ago we couldn't sign a full back to save our self (left back more so) now we don't need to think about that position

    (McCart 30, McInroy 42, Crossan 67, Henderson 74)

SIMILAR to the Premiership, after the first evening of Development League games, the Celts share the top spot with two other sides as the young Hoops along with Hibernian and Motherwell celebrated first-game wins.

The Celts recorded a convincing 4-0 win away at Falkirk thanks to goals from Jamie McCart, Kerr McInroy, PJ Crossan and Ewan Henderson to give them a fantastic kick-off at the start of the new campaign.

Falkirk started brightly but after the first 10 minutes or so, it was the Celts who were creating the goalscoring opportunities but, just as they were beginning to assert their superiority on the proceedings, there was a warning as Kyle Mitchell headed just over from a free-kick for the home side.

However, just a minute later from another set-piece at the other end of the pitch, Mikey Johnston flighted over a corner that was headed home by McCart from six yards and the Celts were in front.

That was after half-an-hour’s play and 12 minutes later the Hoops had doubled their lead when McInroy was the welcome recipient of some wing trickery on the right from Aidan Nesbitt, and when the ball was slipped through to him, the onrushing McInroy blasted home from the edge of the box.

It was a deserved half-time 2-0 lead and as the football resumed in the second period, both sides created chances and, once more Falkirk threatened just before Celtic swept the ball to the other end and found net once more.

This time a well-worked move in the 67th minute saw a shot parried by David Mitchell in the Falkirk goal and Crossan was on hand in the right place to score Celtic's third of the night.

Before long it was 4-0 and Crossan was involved again after a run from Robbie Deas down the left. Crossan then played in Henderson who found the back of the net from close range.

That result sets the young Hoops up for their next scheduled game against last season’s title challengers, Hamilton Accies, who drew 2-2 at home with St Johnstone.

CELTIC: Doohan, Bell, Deas, McCart, Welsh, McInroy, Nesbitt (Savoury 78), Hendry, Crossan (Caffrey 78), Henderson, Johnston (Watson 70). Subs: Willison, Campbell, Potter.

PJ Crossan joins on Development Loan

Manager Jim Goodwin tonight signed young 18 year old Celtic striker, Paul Joseph Crossan on a Development loan until 4th January, 2018. Jim Goodwin said “PJ is a young talented striker who Celtic paid a lot of money to Dunfermline Athletic last season on a three year contract, he is a player with huge potential, and he gives us a bit of pace in behind, he runs his socks off, works hard and has an eye for a goal. He has scored plenty goals for Celtic in the Development League most recently in 4-0 victory over Falkirk on Tuesday night when he scored the third goal and set up the fourth, but now his need is first team football and to start playing in senior football games, we are delighted to give him that opportunity, he is not guaranteed to go straight into the team, he will need to work hard here to get into the team. He is different to the other boys we have, he is a player I have had an eye on for a while and he stood out when we played at Lennoxtown in Pre season friendly, he was certainly a handful that day”.
