Annoyed that at the moment he's coming across as one of the less loyal players but has by far the best song.

He should be stripped of his song and it should be given to Mika.

    New 2 year deal. Official!

    http://www.celticfc.net/news/13102

CELTIC are delighted to announced that Stuart Armstrong has signed a new-two year contract that will see him remain at the club until at least the summer of 2019.

The midfielder joined the Hoops back in February 2015 and scored on his debut, netting in a 3-0 victory over Partick Thistle at Firhill along with fellow debutant Gary Mackay-Steven.

The 25-year-old Scottish internationalist has made 112 appearances for the club to date, scoring 25 goals, the most recent coming in the 5-0 League Cup win over Kilmarnock earlier this month, and he was an integral part of the treble-winning Invincibles squad last season under Brendan Rodgers, scoring 17 goals in the campaign. Stuart has now won three league titles, one Scottish Cup and one League Cup with Celtic.

Stuart said: “I am delighted to sign this new contract with Celtic. I have had a tremendous time at the Club so far and it has been a period in my footballing career which I have enjoyed immensely.

“It has been an honour to play for a Club of such stature. I have enjoyed a great relationship with our supporters and we have achieved a high level of success, something it has been great to be part of.

“I'm pleased that this new contract has been agreed and I am now looking forward very much to working with the manager, our staff and my team-mates to bring the club and our fans even more success.”

Was 100% confident it would happen eventually, but it is telling that it's a two year deal.

    2 years!!?

Proves that he really does have his eyes on a move to the EPL.
Think we should cash in on him now.
With a year to go we'd probably get no more than 5 million. But now he's signed, honestly think 10 million is possible.

In effect, for us, it's a one year extension to his contract. Fairly clear from this that he'll be away next summer.

Underwhelming. He clearly wants to leave sooner rather than later, if it were a contract until 2020, then at least we could be looking at more money next summer, but now we will be in the same position as we were this summer.

Just sell him now! If he does not see his long term future at this club, I rather we sell him now. No player (especially Armstrong) is bigger than Celtic. Also I think after seeing Ntcham recent performances, he is gonna be on the bench a lot more often this season.

Think he only signed cause we are effectively in the CL.

Looks like he will be sold in January or next summer.

At least we wont loose him for nothing

2 year deal possibly sold in January for a bit more than the £6 mill touted at the moment

Wednesday was a resounding reminder to him that Celtic hold all the aces here and if he doesn't see himself here long-term I'd hope we were using the next 12 months to find a buyer & maximise the fee we get.

Should have gone imo. Think his stock will seriously decline now as he won't get the game time he did last season.

If he has a good start to the season get him punted in January.

Obviously still wants a Bosman or near-Bosman move.

Glad hes here for the moment though.
