    It's hard to say. All depends on City's stance. If they were adamant they weren't loaning him to us until we secured CL football then that may have been the hold up. Alternatively they may have been playing hardball and holding out for a higher fee knowing that we had the deadline coming up on Tuesday and were (apparently) desperate.

    I hope it's a permanent, but having him back in any capacity will do me.

    Depends though.
    Sometimes loans come with more stipulations; loan fee, percentage of wages, guaranteed playing time, playing style, CL participation, etc.
    City might be making a lot of demands.

    Whereas a straight up fee, it might be just like "this is the price", and there's a bit of negotiation.
    Again, unless city are asking too high a price or sell on percentage.

    I'd be inclined to think with sutton saying it's a loan, then that's what it will be. I'm sure he knows more than most people.

    I asked John Kennedy last night is paddy coming and he said I really hope so and I then said is there a good chance though and he said absolutely , nothing we don't already know but thought I'd share , also asked KT just smiling with a big cheeser n said I honestly don't know and kept laughing when I asked him if his maws assembling the bunk beds lol
