Proper servant that understood that the club and the fans come first . Got emotional reading his Insta post. All the best to a very good left back and a good man.

Going to miss Izzy. Will feel very lucky if any of the new guys bought this season have half the passion for Celtic that Izzy did.

Another of the Lennon era players gone, (only Lustig, Brown, Griffiths left now i think?) sad to see him go, a nice guy and his term at Celtic overall has been a general success especially in the early years.

    Will miss the Bhoy.

Dazzled occasionally, but was generally just a very honest pro (nothing wrong with that - at all). Nice guy and clearly loved the club as much as we do.

Hail Hail Izzy... you'll be remembered fondly!

Forrest, Henderson, Rogic and Bitton are all from the Lennon era

Brendan was talking about it in his press conference today. Very complimentary of him, wished him all the best and luck in the world etc. Acknowledged it was a big call for him - money to change fmaily life etc. Thanked him for his time, pointed out his professionalism throughout and how great a role model he has been last season (and beyond).

Was a good part of his presser, not that the media would let you know that when they have a stick to bash the fans with currently.

BRENDAN RODGERS admits he couldn’t stand in Emilio Izaguirre’s way – after the Honduran was offered “the chance of a lifetime” in Saudi Arabia.

The left-back penned a lucrative deal with Al-Faiha and the Celtic boss revealed he’s NOT after a replacement.

Brendan Rodgers praised Izaguirre’s commitment to Celtic following his departure

He said: “I had a look at it. Emilio was offered the chance of a lifetime financially for three years.

“He’s been a great servant to the club and if I thought I couldn’t cover, it couldn’t happen.

“But I look within and I have a high regard for young Tony Ralston, who can play right and left back.

“Calvin Miller is progressing well, he looks a stronger player this season. I like the look of him.

“If I was looking more attacking, I have young Jonny Hayes who can play there.

“He’s played there a number of times for Aberdeen and he can defend as well, he puts his foot in and he’s aggressive.

‘If we have to adapt, we can do so.”

    Ralston can play LB?

Wasn't aware of that...think I'd rather him right sided, from what I've seen.
