Again mate I agree with your point, ideally I don't want Celtic fined or punished either. But I just think that it will never change unless there's change enforced in the corridors of UEFA. Look at some of the * we've been fined for, its madness. By the rule book it's justifiable, but laws change and adapt under pressure and tbh I feel as though UEFA need a revision. I'm turning this into a UEFA slating issue rather than a GB supporting issue but I suppose deep down that's my primary concern, UEFA not the GB.

The GB havent admitted to that at all.

The board had no intention of dishing out any punishment for the pyro, they are simply lumping it in now to give more weight to their decision to ban 900 fans for 2 games.

Your right, the gb didn't admit to making a * if the pyrotechnics against hearts. They just admitted that they done it under the knowledge that they would be punished, but assumed they would get away with it.

I'm all for a lot of what the green brigade do, but their statement is stupid. They can't admit to having actually thought and discussed the pyros for that day, then agree that they are banned, but then do it anyway and expect a positive result just because other fans thought it looked nice.

Where have we seen lately that an organisation has hoped something bad would be ignored because a large portion of a certain support wished it would be OK? Hmm.

No, they done it under the knowledge that it would likely bring negative consequences on them - from the police more than anything. As a one-off they thought it was worth the risk. Similarly, thousands of our fans sing songs which they know have resulted in Court Cases, and convictions, for other fans but still do it anyway - they think it's worth the risk.

There was no mass hysteria as we are seeing now from the Internet Bloggers CSC (on all and everything GB related) over the pyro as it wasn't an issue which at the time divided the Celtic support to any extent, and there was likewise no outraged statements from the club or bans dished out.

As long as we are happy to play in their competition, and to take the Champions League money, we have to accept their rules. It might be *, but that's the reality.

Ok I worded it wrong, but they have said they done it knowing their possibly could be consequences. And I do agree it has been lumped in with this to trump up the charge, I have already said so in this thread.

Most things in the Celtic View have a disclaimer at the bottom about 'not representing the views of Celtic Football Club', pathetic I know, but I can imagine the Board coming out with that if they ever do acknowledge that cover, which they won't of course :s:

Just a thought, was the material used at the Hearts game flame retardant,if it wasn't we could be talking about alot worse, poppies and soldiers at other game's is not within UEFA rules,if you remember UEFA fined England and the Six Countries for wearing poppies during international matches in November last year,
Disclaimer, this is in no way in support of UEFA or the board's decision to fine Celtic or the board's decision to ban the Green Brigade
