Hoping to have a mid life break at 40 or so. If I go back or no I'm still undecided. Hoping to find something on my travels

Probably when i drop dead stacking shelves in Aldi when i'm 78.

Although my ideal time would be late 50s early 60s in Spain.

My wife retires today at the age of 59.

I'm 54 in September, and to be honest, I can't see how I'm going to ever retire. I've heard on the news yesterday, that the Govt plan to raise the retirement age again, and by the time i get there, I'm pretty sure the whole system will have collapsed, and there'll be no money left for anyone.
