Won't happen but i'd love to see something like this maybe in the home leg. Risk free if we're already up by a few goals, and on the right day could dish out the mother of all pumpings.

Id say most people felt the same when we played red imps.

Ok we turned that one around but if these * got a 1-0 lead they would park the bus 2nd leg and anything positive they get out of this they will build on it.

I know we should stuff them over to legs,i just hope the lads are on the front foot from the start and impose our superiority.

I don't think people did feel the same about the Red Imps game. It was Rodgers first competitive game. Ambrose and Janko started and people didn't know what to expect from Rodger's Celtic. That is a million miles away from a team that won the treble, went the season unbeaten and hasn't lost to anyone since Barca in December.

I think it is a completely different scenario.

Thing was we were rank rotten in the first leg against Red Imps and didnt even look to harm them neither before or after their goal. Guys like Ambrose and Christie had started the game and were rank rotten. I remember Dembele and Armstrong looked * too.

Can we get that here in southern ireland. Does that channel conflict with any of the sentanta/sky etc.. I know weve had issues before with games liek this.

I think somebody said it was on the same channel the friendly was on yesterday as well. Eir 2 but I'm not in Ireland so not 100% sure on that.

As @StPauli1916 alluded to above, we are a far different animal, now, compared to that game against Red Imps. It was on possibly the worst 'pitch' I've ever seen us play on as well.

I do agree though, we can't be complacent and we won't. Rodgers won't allow it.

When the Shamrock game was on the commentator said that the Linfield game would be shown.

If Brown isn't ready, stick McGregor in. Want them obliterated. Dembolished.

Hit the bar, missed a pen and were just ring rusty in Brendan's first competitive game..

Also we had Janko, Ambrose in defence. Christie, Sviatchenko and Bitton who've all gone on to have bit part's under Brendan and Ciftci coming off the bench as we chased a goal :56:

It was a bad night. One of our worst but it's definitely not been a bad result in the long term, and even in that short term as we were in transition and Brendan was giving player's a go...yet we still managed to get in to the group's..

I don,t think anybody on here believed red imps would beat us that night in the same way i don,t believe anybody on here believes Linfield will beat us.

While there were questions marks about our own team at the time we were playing a team of part timers from Gibraltar and were expected at the worst to come away with at least a draw or a low scoring win.

I agree this team are a million miles away from what we were and i like others expect us to win both legs.
