Anyone watching the Sevilla game? Ref just mad a bad decision (75mins), Osasuna played a ball through to their striker who was well onside and in on goal, albeit at an anagle, and the ref called it offside despite the linesman not flagging. Now Sevilla have taken the lead

Good game brewing between Athletic and Atleti, 1-1 at HT.

*, that sounds like an excellent game. Very important 4th goal for Sevilla as they're proving to be genuine contenders in the title race if Madrid slip up.

Eibar frustrating the life out of Barca. I don't expect them to hold out for 90 minutes but anything's possible especially when Iniesta is out again, he's a crucial part of Barca's creative centre.

Aye Denis Suarez's placement was perfect, right in the corner.

The other Suarez and Messi are turning into binary stars. That goal they set up and finished was made to look incredibly easy. The skill level is stunning.

Messi ran like a * from the halfway line lol, good work from Suarez, and the finish from the wee man was exquisite.

Totally. Wonderful football. He'll be studied for centuries like an artist or composer. And we'll be non the wiser and non the closer :56:

Brilliant result for Real, from a league perspective.

Not having it. It's a bad result. They would have wanted to win that, regardless of league.

The competition has never meant much in Spain, not compared to the Anglo obsession with domestic cups at least. Real as a club are defined by Champions League success and more recently a desire to correct their abnormally dry run in the league, the King's Cup runs a very distant fourth on their list of priorities this season behind the Club World Cup. A draining double header against Atleti or Barca is precisely what they don't need at the moment, particularly with a tricky European clash with Napoli coming up. All told, privately Zizou won't be shedding many tears.

Might not be top priority, but they still want to win it. Just like we still celebrate like mad when we win the League cup
