All I know is he managed Wolves a season or two ago.

If he did ask to be recalled it was because he wasn't getting a look into their team. I am not one to usually write a player off, but all signs are pointing to him not being good enough for us.

Do some fans never learn? It was ridiculous that some were calling for Forrest and Armstrong to be rid of and the same can be said for Allan. Give him a chance under Brendans regime.

    Different scenarios.

At least Forrest had shown before he has quality to be a regular for us. Playing in the CL and EL. Armstrong was a standout in the league before we signed him, and after he signed he had a great start before falling away and being played out of position.

Allan was a good player in the Championship in Scotland. He's failed everywhere else. Barely got a sniff at the worst team in the English Championship.

He's 25 years old and has barely played more than 100 matches, compared to Armstrong who has played over double that figure and is a year younger.

Or maybe Brendan just looked at the abject state Rotherham FC were in, anchored at the bottom of the league, and with a manager who was publicly criticising his player, and decided to exercise his compassion and bring Scott home.

Either way, it is the second coming of Scott Allan.

Stubbs was criticising Allan back in September, if Brendan wanted to act regarding that then surely he would have acted back then rather than leave it 3+ months? Let's hope he gets the head down and works hard in training

    Lets hope so.
As regards September, maybe Scott didn't ask Brendan to take him back until October/November.
Scott has just become a first time dad and has family and friends in Crookston, so I would imagine he is a bit homesick too.
I would be in his shoes too.

Just like to see a player get a fair chance to do the business. I don't think Allan got a fair chance under Ronny to be honest with just fleeting cameos, but even in those fleeting cameos you could see that Allan has something.
If Allan applies himself in training and practice matches, and builds up his stamina and physicality, he might turn out to be that creative midfielder Brendan has spoken about that we still need in the team.?

Yep. The guy is finished. Played too little football by his age and missed crucial years of development.

Give Allan a chance under BR. He's not played much for Celtic and has showed some glimpses of class.

JK on @ScottAllan_ "Up here for treatment. Carrying an injury, nothing too serious. A bit of rehab here before he returns to his club.

Scott Allan is set to return to Celtic this month just halfway through his season-long loan deal with Rotherham.

Millers manager Paul Warne is to get tough with his under-performing squad who sit bottom of the Championship.

And former Hibs man Allan, signed by his old boss Alan Stubbs for Rotherham on a year-long loan in the summer, looks to be one of the first shown the door.

The 25-year-old has made just nine appearances for the Millers, the last coming as a substitute against Norwich in October just days before Stubbs was axed.
