Not that impressed really tbh, although I'm not sure what I expected ... It will probably grow more on me as I do like the 3 of them as presenters.

Second episode was okay. I hope they have a special or two like they did on Top Gear, trekking through a country/countries doing daft *.

Clarkson is a vile racist, misogynistic, sexist, homophobic caveman just to name a few of his crimes. He should have never been allowed to work again not only during his time at the BBC where he was doing all those things almost weekly but even after his sacking. In 2016 we shouldn't have people in the public eye who have no respect for Political Correctness. It's rather disturbing that some people find his antics acceptable in this modern world.

But one of the main reasons he is so popular is because he doesn't care about political correctness...

He deliberately says these things in order to offend. In a show that is as heavily scripted as TG and now GT. If you can be offended by someone who you purport to not like/care about/listen to.
May and Hammond have went on record to say he does so and he privately isn't as insensitive or archaic as he makes out - it's part of his 'persona' which he plays up to happily as it makes him money, in the same way Hammond's is to be a bit thick and May's is to be out of touch.

2nd ep is my favourite so far. That whole army situation was hilarious. Not sure what that has to do with cars though :56:

Didn't like the 3rd episode, played to much on Hammond being dumb/youngest and it got really old. Episode 4 was better, and generally I'm liking the whole show.
What really happened though that they stayed in the same location 2 weeks running? Planned?
Also are the weekly episodes quite recent? I know they filmed a lot of the car stuff and stunts ages ago, but are the tent stuff as recent as this week? They seem to be making it seem that way.

went right off it now...they seem to be playing too much up to the camera...a majority of scripted jokes ain't that funny at all...

I prefer the old specials tbh...

This thread has died a death.

The show is really struggling for me. It has been poor for 90% of it.

Yeah it has its moments, but then seems too forced.

Part 1 of a 2 part special this weekend, big road trip through the desert of Namibia. Not too bad so far.

Haven't watched it since the second episode. I see that the most recent 2 have been a "special". They were always the best Top Gear episodes so I'll give it a watch soonish.

The first of the special is *. 47 minutes that could have been 10. Nothing happens for most of it.

The second part needs to be so much better.

It does look like they've run out of ideas. Nothing is original.

I was always a big Top Gear fan too, but this show has lost it. It's very predictable and had either copied Top Gear or uses Top Gear for the basis of the jokes. It hasn't cut its own identity.

I'm not sure where they have spent the huge budget.

    Try hard as *.

Gay jokes, dead animals blah blah blah.

If you want that kind of thing buy a Frankie Boyle DVD. Someone that is actually funny and good at being a *.
