His tactical education derives from Barcelona's philosophy, with that acknowledgement his ingenuity has made him where he is - by altering it to the three at the back. He has without doubt contributed tactical evolution to the game.

I really like that he's not afraid to make a sub when it's needed.

Sometimes felt in the past we relied on Wing backs and the wings in general the past few seasons to break down stubborn teams although I am aware width is important in achieving this. I think Brendan has us a lot more balanced and we have genuine threats all over the park with threaded balls through the middle, pace on the break, can use overlaps if need be etc. Also helpsthat we have guys such as Sinclair Dembele etc who have the skill to take players on and beat them quite consistently.

One of my biggest criticisms of Ronny and Lennon was their reluctance to make a sub when the game needed it, Rodgers is the total opposite. Rodgers just seems to know the game inside out and know when changes are needed and what changes to make, nobody in Scotland can compete with us because no manager can compete with him tactically.
