I see no reason why we can't be looking to take a point from them at least. Alaves showed at the weekend that they're not unbeatable, not by a long shot.

We need to survive the first 15-20 minutes, get into a groove and then look to kick on from there.

We shouldn't back down from them though. We deserve to be there as much as they do.

TBH We earned our right to be there by actually qualifying by eliminating teams, if anything we deserve to be there more than any of the big teams who just had to finish in the top 4 to get into groups.

I'd like us to get in their faces and play our usual pressing game, I hate us sitting back and having to defend for 70% of these matches.

Yes barca dominate possession but i hate sitting back and inviting teams onto us, its really * to watch

 

We're 33/1 on most bookies sites I know they're the better team but that's ridiculous.

I'm seeing this game as more of a learning curve, first and foremost - a chance for Rodgers and co to pit their wits against one of the best tactical teams on the planet, and a chance for our players to test themselves against some of the greatest footballers in modern day times.

If we go there tonight and play with the conviction and drive that we have did, then, regardless whether we come away tonight with a loss, we will still be winners because we went there, stuck to our guns/system and gave them a right good football match.

If we press them, and don't give them much time on the ball to tear us apart with their defence-splitting passes, then we will give ourselves as much of a chance as anything - although Barca are the pass-masters at quick tempo one-touch fitba.

I'm looking forward to it, even if I expect us to be comortable beaten.

 

The side Alaves faced on Saturday will be nothing like the one we face tonight.

 

I'm just hoping a few of the lads who have never played in the CL relish the opportunity and use it as a chance to give everything and sneak a result of some sort. That would be sensational.

I just hope they don't get a bit starstruck and in awe of Messi/Suarez etc.

 

Feeling weird going into this one, either reality will hit us right in the face or the magic will keep going ha doubt we'll embarrass ourselves though.

That game where they scored right at the death to win it 2-1 ... that felt like it was dragging on forever. Doesn't help that the stadium and even the pitch seem massive
