DDV is our Number 1 goalkeeper at present according to our management team. DDV will start against Sevco unless injury occurring during the week

Why would you focus on the factual inaccuracy rather than the missing hyphen FFS. Priorities, man!

He'll come good, these two next games could and hopefully will be the making of him.

Reckon he could be as good as Arthur Boruc/Fraser Forster?

I still can't decide which of Boruc/Forster was my favourite

I'll be very surprised if De Vries starts on Saturday, but there again I can't read Brendan's mind or line of thinking.
De Vries may or may not turn out to be a good goalkeeper in the fullness of time, but I don't want Saturday to be his testing ground.
I want Gordon to start on Saturday.

I'd be surprised if Gordon starts tbh. I think Brendan saw in Gordon what a lot of us saw and went and got a keeper asap. Gordon is most definately number 2 now.

DORUS de Vries says the sense of purpose in Paradise reminds him of when he worked under Brendan Rodgers previously at Swansea.
The 35-year-old was between the sticks for the Welsh side when the Irishman guided them to the English Premier League for the first time in the 2010/11 season.
Now the goalkeeper has been reunited with the Hoops boss and former Swans team-mate, Scott Sinclair at Celtic, having joined the club on a two-year deal last month from Nottingham Forest.
And he feels at home already thanks to the warm welcome he has received from the players and staff, together with their determination to achieve success.
De Vries made his Celtic bow in the 4-1 victory over Aberdeen, the final match before the latest international break.
His second appearance for the Hoops could come in Saturday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers but he will approach the match with the same mentality as every other game.
He said in this week’s Celtic View: “I thought Aberdeen were a really good side and Rangers are as well and it doesn’t matter if you are playing Rangers, Aberdeen or Hearts, they are always tough matches as they always want to beat you.
“You take every game as it is and, of course, there are some games more special than others but your goal always stays the same – you want to win.”
Just three days after the clash with the Ibrox side, Celtic will contest their first UEFA Champions League group game in three years away to Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
The Hoops will also go head-to-head with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach in their section which has already been dubbed the ‘Group of Death’.
It will be an exciting introduction to the Champions League football for De Vries, and he can’t wait to test himself on the big stage against some of the best players in the world.
“The draw is a bit of a mix as there are great teams but Barca and Celtic seem to draw one another quite often and they seem to have a great connection,” he said.
“These will be great games against Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach as well. I have played a couple of friendly games against Monchengladbach in the past and the fans are incredible. So to experience the Champions League will be great for this club and for everyone involved so I’m looking forward to it.
“You want to test yourself against the best and that’s how you grow and get better,” continued the Dutchman. “It’s great to have had my debut but that’s out of the way and I want to kick on and hopefully better things are coming and to be part of a Champions League squad is fantastic.”

This is not me hopping off the Dorus bandwagon whatsoever, should not come for that Tavernier cross? He's gotta know that Lustig's going to be in a tough spot with that going back post, IMO he sells his backline out by watching both the cross and the header float in.

Played 2 games but we've yet to see him really troubled. Don't think he's to blame for their goal today, Lustig left Miller with too much space.

    Nice save at the end.

Probably the quietest game I've seen a goalkeeper have in a long time.

One thing's for sure: we'll finally find out if he's any good as a shot stopper on Tuesday.

Well done to the big man, people commented on the goal, but not for me.

However, I'm a big Gordon fan, and I thought it was a bit harsh.
